Oasis By the Sea - Oregon Beach Vacations Welcome to the Oasis By the Sea, located in historic Seaside, Oregon! This restored 1926 one-story home offers two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a remote work area, with space for up to six guests! Beach access is just a short walk to the west! Park in front of the Oasis By the Sea, and walk up the five steps to access the inside of this newly renovated coastal vintage-style home on the Oregon coast! The sunroom, full of windows and light, is the perfect spot to read, drop your sandy shoes, hang your beach towels, and the comfortable love seat opens up into a memory foam twin sleeper. Enter the main living area to find shiplap walls, a leather couch and four chairs, a flat screen TV, and a gorgeous coastal rustic vibe. Be sure to enjoy the refinished wood floors and vintage light fixtures located throughout the home! You'll also have Wi-Fi, board games, books, DVDs, and Blu-rays to enjoy during your stay. The dining room area is located just off the living room, with a farmhouse table with room for four of your guests. The kitchen has a counter bar with two barstools for more mealtime seating. Guests are welcome to enjoy a meal together in the living room as well, or even outside on the back deck adjacent to the yard! The kitchen has everything you need to enjoy a warm, home-cooked meal on the Oregon coast. You'll have access to a refrigerator, microwave, oven/stovetop, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster, and more. Original shiplap walls, open barn wood shelves, new navy blue custom cabinetry, a big farmhouse sink, and quartz countertops are waiting for you! Located off the kitchen, you'll find the back hallway with a washer/dryer, a full bathroom with a walk-in shower, and vintage-style floral wallpaper. The hallway has more hooks for your jackets or beach towels and leads to back deck access. Just across from the kitchen and dining room are both bedrooms, which share a fully remodeled Jack-and-Jill bathroom containing a tub/shower combo, new white subway tile, and vintage-style penny tile floor. Both bedrooms offer queen-size beds and beautiful Pottery Barn bedding, along with seagrass window coverings and original shiplap walls. While staying at Oasis By the Sea, you'll have lots of fun things to see and do in the city of Seaside! The boardwalk is just a short walk or drive away to the south, where you can find an arcade, beach access, the Seaside Aquarium, candy stores, and restaurants! They even have a movie theater. If you're looking to do a bit of hiking, there are plenty of spots up and down the coast to check out. Whatever you choose to do, you'll have a blast on the Oregon coast while visiting your Oasis by the Sea! Parking: No Boats, RVs, etc. The Property is limited to a specific amount of off-street parking, as outlined in the Property description. The location is within a few blocks of the promenade and beach access, and also just a short walk to downtown Seaside. It was a quiet neighborhood. The kitchen is adequately stocked and has good appliances. Washer/dryer worked well. Good Wi-Fi and cable. What was disappointing? Beds were not comfortable. We suggest an upgrade to the mattresses and bedding. We had to wash two fleece blankets that were stored in the rooms before using because they were dusty and dirty. The bathrooms are small and not terribly clean (hair in the shower and spots the floor). There were ants in the kitchen, and the stovetop and oven were not clean. The key was nearly impossible to use in the back door next to the lock box. We only used the front door because of that. For the rate we paid for four nights, we expected a cleaner and more comfortable experience. ##### Linda O. Two adults, one toddler, and two children 7 and 9\. I was very hesitant to travel, to someone else's remodeled home, with a toddler! However, once we arrived I did a quick walkthrough and didnt have to baby proof anything which was a relief. The two bedrooms are pretty good size. There is a super cute sunroom which is where we put the two older kids to hang out and sleep. The ONLY complaint was how hard the door was to open/close and lock. I know that is minor and I'm sure a quick fix. The decor was beautiful. The kitchen was amazing with a huge sink. The style I would say is distressed boho-farmhouse which was nice that beach theme was not ALL OVER. Location to downtown and the beach ...just a little walk. We would absolutely rent this house again. Thank you for welcoming me into your home. ##### Chelsea E. Séjour de 3 nuits en mai 2021 ### 10/10 – Excellent #### Stephanie D. 3 mai 2021 Points forts : Propreté #### Wonderful Time in a Beautiful, Thoughtful Home My husband and I, with our two kiddos (ages 5 and 2.5), stayed here to celebrate his 40th birthday. The home is so lovely, magazine-perfect in decor. The layout is excellent too, with the ability to easily be together as a group, or a little removed for quiet time. The proximity to the beach was so great, and even our littles had an easy time walking to our destinations (namely, the ocean and the Aquarium). We used the spigot outside along the driveway to hose off sandy kids and feet. We were able to both cook our own meals easily (all the basics we needed were there) and get takeout to enjoy at the home together. The checkout procedures were simple and not time-consuming. There were books, games, cards, and DVDs available in the home for entertainment, should you need it. The TV was connected to all the streaming services, as well as live TV, so that we could watch easily. Only two complaints: the beds are really not very comfortable at all, and that's not usually something we're picky about. It genuinely feels like you're sleeping on a thin mattress full of springs. A mattress topper or an entirely new mattress on both beds (we didn't try the sofa bed) would fix that quickly. The other complaint is that the bathtub doesn't have a non-slip mat in the bottom, or other method to make it not slippery. Both kids and one of us adults slipped in it, and with all that gorgeous tile it could have been a serious injury. I know it's not the most aesthetically pleasing thing, but that would be an essential item for guest safety, in my opinion. One of the burners on the stove didn't work, but since the others did that wasn't a huge issue. We'd easily stay here again, and be hopeful the owners listened and that the beds were more comfortable next time! ##### Stephanie D.
