Originally built in the 1940s, this charming home has been fully remodeled inside, blending modern comforts with historic touches — from its marble countertops and tile floors to original hardwood, reclaimed tongue‑and‑groove boards, and the unique floor grate that inspired its name. This 2‑bedroom, 1‑bath home features a full kitchen, formal dining area, laundry access, and a comfortable living room with a pull‑out couch. Outside, enjoy a fenced backyard with a spacious patio, grill, fire pit, fire table, and outdoor seating. House was well done for the remodel, and we felt comfortable staying here. The next door neighbor has a dog that barks quite a bit, but it was controlled during the evening, so it was a non-issue. Had great communication with the hosts, and check in/out was easy and reasonable. Will definitely look to stay here again should we end up being frequent visitors to Searcy. ##### Julie G. It was a perfect location close to everything we needed and a nice cozy place to stay while visiting. The hosts communicated everything we needed and the checking and check out was seamless. It was beautiful and had everything we needed! Close to quant downtown Searcy, it was the perfect pet friendly space with the fenced yard! The hosts were extremely helpful and responsive! Loved the countertops and everything was right there. Very homey and comfortable. Couldn’t do a 5 star due to our reaction to previous pet exposure on the guest bed and couch, but we have now learned to go no pet homes. We’re just more sensitive than others I guess.
