![Slovenia is full of remarkable places to visit. A few hours northeast of Ljubljana, the capital, lies a region of alpine valleys that will take your breath away. I took this photo shortly after sunrise on the ridge between two of those valleys.

Having your own set of wheels certainly makes getting around this area a lot easier. For accommodation I'd recommend Luce, a small town a stone's throw away from the action, where there are a few options.

The trails can be hard to locate and very slippery when covered with snow so tread carefully or, preferably, wait until it disappears.

"Globalement, mon séjour s’est bien passé. J’ai même prolongé deux fois pour au final y rester 3 nuits au lieu d’une. J’ai beaucoup aimé l’emplacement hyper central dans la vieille ville et bien sûr le rooftop avec la piscine et la vue splendide sur le château. Quelques détails ont fait que mon séjour n’était pas parfait: Il y avait plein de tâches sur la moquette de la chambre, l’eau s’écoulait mal dans le lavabo et ça sentait mauvais, le minibar fait énormément de bruit, la climatisation ne fonctionne pas très bien, il n’y a pas de linge pour les mains dans la salle de bains, le ménage quotidien constitue en juste refaire le lit, le rebord de la baignoire est assez haut et c’était difficile de sortir sans risquer de se faire mal. Un grand merci à Alen de la réception pour son aide et ses conseils. En résumé, cet hôtel est confortable et bien situé à Ljubljana, mais plusieurs détails font que ce n’est pas la meilleure expérience possible. "
