At 5,000 square feet, The Metropolitan Loft embodies a true Manhattan-style loft experience with exposed beams, spacious windows & structural columns. Guests will enter off the street into a glam foyer, up a flight of stairs into the enormous living space. Center stage is the floating kitchen with custom oyster shell quartz countertops, Miele, Sub Zero & Wolf appliances. Behind the kitchen is an office/pantry area with built in desk & cabinets stocked for cooking or entertaining. The living room is lux, velvety and sprawling and curated with comfort in mind. Originally designed by Phoebe Howard for former owner/developer Ben Carter; she chose mid century Italian armchairs, a Danish rosewood console with midnight blue velvets that soften the minimalistic lines. Flanking the living room on either side you find the dining area that seat 8-10 and a private library with comfy seating and a desk for remote working. The library includes books about art and history and dozen or so, board games for some fun brain food. From the main living space, there are hallways on both sides that lead to bedrooms. On the right hallway, first is The Green Room with a queen size bed, closet and wall mounted tv. An elegant marble-tiled full-bathroom is across the hall. Next is The Master Suite with huge walk-in closet and a dreamy en suite bathroom. The Master bed is a king size with sofa seating & wall mounted TV. Note the hardwood floors were hand painted by local artist, Bob Christian in a dynamic geometric pattern with soothing hues of creams and blues. This leads to the divine master bath with a soaking tub and spacious walk-in shower. On the left side of the loft down the other hallway, you will find The Brick Bedroom, with exposed brick wall and king sized bed, smart TV and en suite bathroom. This blue bathing beauty has a walk-in shower. The laundry room is hidden behind gorgeous, vintage double doors. Aside from the usual washer & dryer, there is an EXTRA full sized fridge and a chest freezer! Next you find the Jack 'n Jill bedrooms with sliding "barn doors". On the left is Jill's Room with a full size bed & TV. Sliding pocket doors lead into the Jack 'n Jill bathroom that features a large shower/tub combo. Jack's room is on the other side with a king size bed & TV. \*\*NOTE: These bedrooms do not have doors to close off the bedrooms from each other; although the bathroom is large and in between the bedrooms, it fills the middle space nicely. NOTES: \*MINIMUM age to reserve is 25 years of age. NO EXCEPTIONS. \*NO BACHELOR/BACHELORETTE groups. NO exceptions! OCCUPANCY: We have a maximum capacity of 10 people (including children/infants) at ANY TIME, no exceptions. NOISE: This property is NOT PARTY friendly. We do NOT allow loud noise, music or PARTIES of any sort. Violators may be evicted and/or fined. \*The City of Savannah Noise Ordinance requires strict observance of QUIET TIME between 10 pm and 8 am. Savannah Police and the neighborhood strictly enforces this. Guests can be fined and/or EVICTED by the City and/or management. GARAGE: We have a private, SINGLE car garage for your use. This garage is VERY TIGHT, so oversized vehicles may be problematic. Note: There is NO elevator from the garage to the loft. The old freight elevator door is still in place but there is NO LIFT. Please don't leave a bad review because there is no elevator. You must walk from garage to the loft entrance. The garage is an unusual perk & gift in a part of town where parking is difficult to find! PARKING FOR ADDITIONAL VEHICLES: All of downtown has metered street parking. The City of Savannah uses Meter Pay Stations on each block. You can download the phone APP "Park Savannah" to pay meters from your phone, OR The Lincoln Street Parking Garage is one block east. We had a group of 8 women. We walked everywhere from this location. There is one enclosed space for a car, and though a bit narrow, it was a high ceiling and handled our large SUV. We took our family of 10 on a trip to downtown and we walked in & our jaw hit the ground. This place is spectacular & HUGE. We loved the open living space that was plenty big for all of us. It’s so close to everything. It’s nice to have the 1 parking space plus easy paid parking all around. Customer service was fantastic! Would stay here again. ##### jenn p. This property exceeded our expectations! It is located in the perfect spot downtown, whereas you can walk to every popular spot in the area, within a few minutes. The loft view is perfect for watching parades. It has every amenity you can think of, if you enjoy cooking and entertaining. The loft is extremely spacious, with plenty of seating, game room, library, and 5 bedrooms, 4 baths. If you are looking to entertain, have a group of friends and family get together, or just come see the best of Savannah, this is the place to stay! ##### Wesley Z. We had 10 adults sharing the condo for 3 nights. The only suggestion I have is to put some sort of door between the Jack and Jill rooms. You could hear even the softest voice from the other room. With 5 bedrooms with comfy beds, 4 bathrooms, large living room/dining room beautifully decorated and a huge modern kitchen equipped with everything we could ever need, everyone was extremely happy and comfortable with our accommodations. The location was perfect for walking around downtown and we always felt safe. Having the one car garage available for our use made it very convenient for those few times we did need a car and the parking garage was even closer than we had realized. Knowing we had reserved parking spaces removed the worry of where to park. The weather was absolutely gorgeous with warm temperatures and we would love to return to Savannah soon and stay again at this gorgeous home. Nov 19, 2024 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, location, listing accuracy #### Beautiful property but a few things to consider What I liked: This condo is absolutely stunning. The main living room area and kitchen are extremely spacious. There's tons of room for a large group and the layout is nice in terms of bedroom spacing and bathrooms. What wasn't great: The master bathroom is completely open to the master bedroom room so that's a little awkward b/c you have to shut the entire room off to be able to use the toilet in privacy. The bedrooms get extremely warm at night. There are rules that the AC can't be under 70 degrees, but the air centralizes in the living room and kitchen, so the bedrooms don't get cool very well. They provided fans but a few didn't work so some of the bedrooms were just stagnant and warm. This was a big disappointment for our group b/c everyone woke up hot each morning. The garage is connected to the building, but you can't access the condo from the garage. You have to put your car in, shut the garage and then walk around the corner to the door of the condo. Since you can barely open the car doors, you have to park your car in a paid lot, unload your stuff, then move your car to the garage, then go back inside. This wasn't an issue, but it should be mentioned that there is a steep stairway leading from the front door up to the living/kitchen area of the condo. The elevator is inaccessible so it could be a challenge for some folks. There are quite a few rules about what you can and can't touch within the condo, so I'd be wary of bringing children with a group. ##### Amber R.
