As is typical in Savannah, our property consists of two buildings: A main house and a carriage house located behind it. Built in 1885, our carriage house is in a quiet residential neighborhood 50 yards from Troup Square. The unit was carefully renovated/decorated to keep its historic charm. We also have a working fireplace! \*Registered with the City of Savannah SVR-00032\* Minimum Rental Age: 25 Highlights: \--Private Deck with outdoor cafe table and chairs and 15-ft-long built-in bench for seating. \-- Full Gourmet Kitchen with island breakfast bar, quartz countertops, full-size stainless steel refrigerator, gas range, dishwasher, vented microwave. \-- Open Plan Dining Room/Living Room. Dining area has 1920’s oak draw-leaf table that can seat six, and a fireplace. The directions for check-in were clear and precise. We found the house to be clean and beautiful! The perfect mix of old and new with the old flooring and fireplace, but an updated kitchen and bathroom. The parking space is small, but with the recommendation from the property manager, we unpacked before we parked. We were grateful to not have to pay to park or park on the street. The small touches, like dvds to watch that were filmed in Savannah (Forrest gump!) and having popcorn bowls available in the cabinets were not missed! Close to the historic area, short walk straight down Price St to the Pirate House. Only 15 minute walk to Forsyth Park. Great location! Our 2 and 4 year old thought the cottage was wonderful! The parking spot is very narrow, but we emptied out vehicle first then backed in and didn’t move it until we were ready to leave. We drove a Chevy Silverado with 4 door Crew cab. Once parked, the only door accessible was the driver side. We could access the truck bed from the garden gate though, so it worked out well. Host was so nice and even came to check on us to see how we were doing and give us recommendations on where to go. We had enough room for 4 adults. In a great area and walking distance from everything. The parking spot is very tight but we made it! We drove a Highlander anything bigger would not fit.
