Downtown Saugatuck is a short walk away, and the beaches are just a quick, easy drive. If you need additional space, our adjacent one-bedroom guesthouse may be available for rent. A fence with a gate separates the two homes to maintain privacy. Guests enjoy full access to all amenities—both inside and out. Plus, every “A Step Away” guest receives an exclusive discount at our local store during their stay. We’re also dog-friendly (with prior approval and a pet fee). This updated, single-story home features a fully fenced backyard, mature landscaping, and on-site parking for a few vehicles. Inside, the home comfortably accommodates up to six guests. The interior is thoughtfully styled to reflect the character of Saugatuck, Douglas, and the local beach and arts scenes. Ideal for All Types of Travelers Whether you’re traveling solo, as a couple, or with friends or family (up to 6 adult guests), this home is designed for carefree, comfortable living. It was very clean, in a fabulous location, and so cozy to come back to after being out and about all day. The queen bedroom is a tight squeeze with minimal room for suitcases. The bunk room has more room (even for our pack ‘n play!) which was great for our kids. If I had a complaint it was the frosted glass doors on the bedrooms which let in a lot of light at night- luckily I packed our blackout curtains for our kids which worked perfectly shut in the door. The kitchen was completely stocked with every appliance and gadget you might want. The shower was amazing- rainhead, handheld, and regular options!
