The water is shallow clear and calm with white quartz-sand tide-pools perfect for sleeping drinking or playing. You can go from the water to lunch or dinner and back to the sand without putting on your shoes. The Home Large 3BR home with king beds in both master bedrooms. Out-door grilling and dining (shared), open floor plan perfect for bigger groups, surrounded by palms. Deeded access to the Grand Canal across the street. Set in the Village just 4-min walk to the best fresh oysters, seafood, tropical drinks, ice cream, entertainment, and even gourmet donuts on the island. Bedroom Details It's a large 3BR with living space on the second and third floors. Two king BRs one with a southerly Juliette balcony, one bunked BR containing 2 full over queen beds, large 120' sofa in the living room, and one or two tempur-pedic rollaway beds. Sleeps up to 12\. If you need more space, I can get an additional unit nearby. Beach Gear Provided We provide beach towels, chairs, carts, umbrellas, and a few bikes and a paddleboard. If you don't have what you need, just reach out and we can usually get it for you. Correction for Air-b-n-b listings this location doesn't provide "snorkeling gear" but this and anything you need can be rented or purchased nearby. Household Items Provided We provide bedding, kitchen items, most major and minor appliances, blow dryers, and hangers. Simple soaps and paper products come in starter-supply that will get you through a short stay and anything you need can be purchased nearby. What to Bring It's a laid-back island so pack as lite as you like. Our fashion is casual, wash and wear, and all units have laundries. Also, anything you forget to bring can be found nearby in good supply and fair prices. Post Booking Support We understand vacation time is precious and will make sure you get the most out of it. Our number is the only contact information you need. All units are at the top attractions on the island. Cars are never required, but you will have private parking near the unit. No check-in restrictions, check-in any day of the week at any time using a private door-code. Never a cleaning requirement at checkout. Free early check-in when possible. No hidden fees or solicitations. Every unit including this one is available for instant booking. Terms Payments are 50% refundable when canceled at least 60 days before arrival. Payments are not refundable when canceled less than 60 days before arrival. Events or gatherings involving outside guests are only allowed with prior approval from the management. Guest agrees to hold the Property Manager and Owner harmless from any liability for injuries while on vacation. Sorry but events involving guests in excess of your unit occupancy limit are not permitted at this location. Travel Insurance If you prefer insured bookings, we also offer travel insurance. Basic Travel Insurance- cost is 7%, covers 30 different issues, coverage begins only after protection has been purchased. CFAR (cancel for any reason) insurance is available in states applicable- cost is approximately 11% (7% basic plus additional 3.8% to add CFAR). Basic and CFAR must be purchased together as CFAR cannot be purchased individually. CFAR covers 60% of the trip cost with no questions asked. Travel insurance must be purchased within 14 days of booking and 30 days before check-in. Clean, lots of space with comfortable beds. 2 bathrooms with tubs and showers were great for 4 kids. Kayaks, paddle boards, bikes, and beach stuff readily available at the house to use (didn't get to use the paddle boards or kayaks d/t the weather). Apr 1, 2024 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location #### lovely duplex i stayed with a few friends for a week and we had no issues with the house. the host was excellent with response times. it was clean and just like the pictures in all but one area. this rental is a two unit house and that was written nowhere on the description. the backyard is shared. while we experienced no problems with this it was a disappointed to learned upon arrival that the whole wasn’t ours and we didn’t even have the balcony facing the backyard. We had booked this thinking it was just our space and it put a damper on parts of the trip having to worried about not disturbing the neighbors. ##### Cenia L. Seven women rented for 4 days/3 nights & had gorgeous weather our entire stay. A car is not necessary as multiple restaurants & grocery store are a short walk away. Beach access is close, but not 250 steps (we counted 300 steps & were still 2 blocks away) but a sturdy beach wagon & many beach chairs are provided and we walked easily to the beach everyday. Pros:-Communication was wonderful. Answered questions promptly. When we asked about the TV they sent someone over immediately. Check in/check out instructions were clear -Outside porch was a lovely place for coffee in the morning or for extra space -King beds upstairs were comfortable -Plentiful beach towels, multiple beach chairs & beach wagon Cons: -Kitchen: no wine glasses (we used water glasses) & the stove burners got warm (not hot). We used the stove for breakfast, for lunch/dinner we had sandwiches or walked to the Village. Cooking knives aren't sharp. Would be difficult to prep a full dinner with the tools provided.-Living room: Seating is cramped for 7 adults, sofa is comfy but other options are not. Not a smart TV (no streaming)-Metal bunk beds(not wood)are very loud - Space itself is open & sound carries easily. In 1 upstairs bedroom there are bi-fold doors (open to the living room below)Again, location to the Village & beach is great. The home was spacious and had plenty of room for our group to hang out and rest comfortably, and we enjoyed the shared outdoor space as well. We loved having beach chairs and wagons available to use. Jul 1, 2025 #### Best Location on Siesta Key We had the best time at staying at Gertrude rentals. Couldn't have picked a better location in terms of proximity to the village and to the beach. Everything was clean when we arrived and the check out was simple, didn't have to remove sheets off the bed, everything was taken care of for us. Only reason I didn't give I 5 great review was because we had some issues with the WiFi and there were not enough sheets for one of us who was staying on the sofa bed, however, once Gertrude rentals was called they were speedy in taking care of our issues.
