Sun, Sand & Silver Sands – Gulfside Resort #237 by RVA

RVA offers Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort. Located beach front on beautiful Longboat Key, this resort offers all the amenities of a large hotel with the privacy and seclusion that has Silver Sands guests returning each year. Relax on our private beach, walk on our soft white sand, take a dip in our heated beachside pool, or enjoy a complimentary chaise lounge and beach umbrella while breathing in the fresh salt-water air. Practice your golf game on our putting green or relax on our beautiful beach with your favorite novel. Wireless Internet access is available in the privacy of your individual unit, at the garden area or on the pool deck.



Limited Membership Privileges: Guests of Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort #237 will have the option of temporary membership privileges, for a transfer fee, at Cedars Tennis Resort located at 645 Cedars Court on Longboat Key. The limited temporary membership allows the guest access to fully-lit Har-Tru tennis and pickleball courts (after 1 p.m. daily and subject to availability), community bicycles, fishing pier and Jr. Olympic heated swimming pool. The guest will also have access to the community fitness center.



Accommodations: Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort is a relaxing retreat located directly on the Gulf of Mexico on the northern-end of Longboat Key. Choose from our various unit styles including hotel rooms, one- and two-bedroom garden view units, and one- and two-bedroom beach front units.

We loved long boat key. Its central to so many beautiful beaches. The room amenities were scarce. No sink in kitchenette.

It was ok

It was ok, it was really dark. The sign is not lit up so we ended up passing up the place. When we got there the outside lights were out as well. So we had to use our phone lights to navigate around. The pool and beach are nice, the room was very basic.

Quiet paradise

Gorgeous sunsets and evenings on the beach. Night life is just down the road. Lovely landscaping. Old Florida feel. Perfect vacation for us to de-stress. Thanks Silver Sands! Exactly what we needed.

Short Get Away

Silver Sands has the sweetest people, and they make your stay super enjoyable. This was my 3rd time to stay here. I had an efficiency that was perfection for one or two people. Parking is easy. Pool is great. Beach is the best. Unit was immaculate with everything you need. I was in an upstairs unit. Would stay here again. It’s a great place, communication is awesome, and in a beautiful place to visit.

Quiet Vaca on Longboat Key

The property was well kept and clean. We stayed in the efficiency unit. It was perfect for my 8 year old and myself. The beach was beautiful. It was clean, peaceful and safe to walk at night. Everyone at the property was very helpful and kind. It was like vacationing with a big family. We loved the saline pool and that we could walk right out our front door and be on the beach in a minute. We wished there was an ice machine, restaurant, and bar onsite. You definitely have to come prepared with your own food, drinks, cups, etc. We had a great time and plan to go back very soon.

Adequate room, good value

This unit is not luxurious, but it is priced right for the location. Don't stay here if you expect to spend a lot of time in the room as there is not really a comfortable place to sit, but do stay here if you want a convenient location, friendly staff and guests, and extremely close access to the gorgeous beaches of Longboat Key

Great getaway!

We live in FL and decided to do a little 2 day staycation. The room and property were nice and clean. Staff was very friendly. It was great having a very small number of people on a beautiful beach!! They even provide chairs, umbrellas and towels for guest to use. We will come back again!

Quaint Little Place on the Beach

We love Longboat Key but most vacation rentals are quite expensive. Silver Sands is a quaint little resort that is reasonably priced and right on the beach. Our room was small but had everything we needed for a short stay. The property is very tropical and the staff was friendly and helpful. This is not a luxury property but that isn't what we were looking for and it fit our needs.

The stay was very nice. My only recommendation would be is to get a bigger TV. We did have a lot of rain this weekend and spent a lot of time in the room and the TV is smaller or as small as a computer screen and cannot be seen from the bed. Other than that the room was just as described. Very good weekend

Clean Basic Room Close to Beach

Clean quiet room with fridge and microwave. Facility has pool, coin laundry, free beach umbrellas, beach towels, and beach chairs. Very nice beach with about 25 guests as far as you could see in early February.
