The grounds here are impeccable – from the well-manicured vegetation to the vast palm trees that dot this serene Longboat Key location. The buildings at Beach Castle are the color of sunshine and are accented by Bahama shutters and railings that resemble palm trees. Each unit is individually owned, which means no unit is alike and provides a unique vacation experience to our guests. However, all units provide a full kitchen, living room and private lanais – never compromising the comforts of home. This secluded hideaway exudes a classic charm that, as vacationers, we yearn for. A place to get away from it all, relish in the Florida sunshine and reconnect with family and friends; all this while enjoying white-sand beaches, privacy and most importantly, vacation memories that last a lifetime. Limited Membership Privileges: Guests of Beach Castle Resort #5 will have the option of temporary membership privileges at Cedars Tennis Resort located at 645 Cedars Court on Longboat Key. The limited temporary membership allows the guest access to fully-lit Har-Tru tennis and pickleball courts (after 1 p.m. daily and subject to availability), community bicycles, fishing pier and Jr. Olympic heated swimming pool. The guest will also have access to the community fitness center. Accommodations: Beach Castle Resort is a quiet, 21-unit condominium resort midway on the exclusive island of Longboat Key with a variety of views including Gulf front, Bay front, pool and garden views. Sue made check in a breeze and was super friendly and accommodating (thanks Sue)! You also cannot beat being right on the beach and all the amenities provided (beach chairs, towels, sand toys, bogey boards, and umbrellas! However, unit 5 was dirty (a dead cockroach in the closet, moldy shower curtain, and stains on the couch). Each unit is individually owned, so we plan to rent another unit next year. We would stay at number 5 if they did a deep clean, got rid of the dirty items, and an exterminator. ##### Erin B. The beach chairs on the beach and abundance of umbrellas up by the condos was a huge win. Pool was close and nice. Saltwater I think. Condo was clean and had all supplies needed although we did takeout for nearly every meal when we did not eat outside at local restaurants. Ice maker in freezer would have been nice but no big deal. We really enjoyed our stay at this unit. It was worth paying a little more per night to be on he beach side. There was a great view of the Gulf from the Lanai-That wasn’t advertised, but should be. Coffee sitting out there was super relaxing! The bedrooms were great sizes. The entire unit was very spacious! They have coolers, which is helpful. My kids appreciated Roku TV and the Xbox. The beds were so comfortable! The beach is footsteps away! Literally, take your towel and get on the beach! It’s absolutely beautiful! A couple of things (and I feel these are directed more to the property management/house cleaning staff-not the condo owners) provide more than 2 trash bags in the kitchen. The lock to enter the unit needs to be repaired, it was a process to get in every time we came back. The couch is very stained. Needs a good steam cleaning, or update. The unit wasn’t super clean. A lot of the dishes were still dirty, top of the fridge , food crumbs on the table out in the lanai, etc. bathrooms were cleaned well, though. Provide baking sheets. ##### Dawn C. The location was ideal, the property and amenities were great! Right on the beach with beach chairs in place for guests. The unit was well stocked with everything we could possibly need! My only complaint is that the clothes dryer didn’t dry our clothes. Was not a big deal because we were only there a short time & only washed one load of laundry. Well stocked kitchen and linens, and “starter kit” for paper products was generous. Pool and hot tub area well maintained and clean. Manager answered my questions promptly and politely even though my questions were probably answered in their welcome emails. We were disappointed the dock was under repair, thankfully we were able to cancel a boat rental. Only wish list items would be a stronger dishwasher (left a little residue) and a door off the lanai to get outdoors/to the beach. Would stay there again! ##### P S. This stay far exceeded my first experience in a different unit. This unit has everything you may want or need for your stay. The weather was nice, the location was ideal, and the unit was very clean. Although it does not have a gulf facing view we were able to sit on the lanai of our unit and see the ocean. I did appreciate that it was on the gulf side of the road.
