This is a rare opportunity to reserve 2 separate living spaces located on the same piece of property. These 2 living spaces are normally rented out independently and commonly known as Chrissy’s Cottage 1 and Chrissy’s Cottage 2\. By booking this listing you will be reserving both cottages for the price shown. The Space: Chrissy’s Cottage 1 is a charming, mermaid-inspired 1-bedroom, 1-bath retreat that comfortably sleeps up to 4 guests. Recently, we made a few updates to the cottage to comply with new regulations—which included the removal of the full kitchen and washer/dryer. To help you plan accordingly, we’ve added updated photos so you can see the current layout, including the revised kitchen area (which no longer includes a refrigerator, oven, or laundry appliances).There is still private entrances, perfect for the couple you’re traveling with who enjoy having their own space or the in-laws who came along and need some private space for themselves. Ideal for 2 people but can easily accommodate 4, there is a queen bed in the bedroom and a queen sleeper sofa in the living area. Chrissy’s Cottage 2 is relaxing 3-bedroom, 2 bath, home which sleeps 6\. This cottage is equipped with a full kitchen, high capacity washer/dryer and decorated with a coastal theme. The master bedroom has a king mattress and the other two bedrooms have queens. We also supply a queen air mattress which can be set up in the living room . There are two full bathrooms, one has a standard tub/shower combo while the second bathroom has a shower only (not tub) and is conveniently located with quick access to the pool/patio. This listing is to rent both cottages together. The price shown is the total price for both cottages. All of the bedrooms are equipped with comfortable mattresses, Samsung smart TV’s with cable, a luggage rack, a dresser and a closet for you to unpack and feel at home. In each cottage you will find beach towels and a cooler for your use along with beach chairs, umbrellas and other beach accessories. Let's talk about the pool. It's large, it's deep it's heated and its fun! Located right outside your back door (literally) is the pool patio which is surrounded by tropical landscaping with palm trees and agave plants. There are two outdoor patio tables to accommodate all of your friends and family along with super comfy chaise lounge chairs for you to enjoy. Spend your days soaking up the sun at Siesta Key Beach & your night’s poolside overlooking the lush, private backyard. The evening is a perfect time for grabbing a glass of wine and heading out to the patio to star gaze at the thousands of stars. If you fancy eating outside, there is a Webber grill for you to cook up some of the fish you caught on that fishing charter you went on earlier in the day. Enjoy easy access to Siesta Key’s pristine beaches, St. Armand’s Circle and Lido Beach, Downtown Sarasota’s Farmers Market, fishing, museums, shopping malls, nature preserves, botanical gardens, golf courses,. SRQ Airport, Hospitals, Arlington Park, Southside Village (stores, restaurants and bars), Nathan Benderson Park. We are also close to the quaint Amish community of Pinecraft and close to grocery stores and many wonderful restaurants. Wanting to get out of the city for a few hours, Explore the local wildlife by driving out to Myakka State Park, 30 minutes out east to where you will see all wildlife you could imagine. Make sure to take the boat tour and climb the lookout tower. Check out Big Cat Habitat, they have tigers, lions, bears, ligers and occasionally will have a sloth. The sports fan of the group will love being only 5 to 10 minutes away from the baseball stadium, where the Orioles play their spring training games. Getting Around: Recommend that you have a car, however uber is also readily available. There is also a bus stop near by if you prefer that mode of transportation. Overall the home is a perfect home away from home for us. Conveniently located close to beaches, mall, stores, and shops minus the hussle and bussle of the busy beach traffic. Outdoor space is ample with 2 tables. Cons: On a very busy street, no sidewalk on the house side. House is old so bathrooms are tired, as is kitchen. Could use some TLC. The patio and the furniture need a good power washing. The smaller cottage has steps in weird places. Needed to put all of the night lights there to keep it safe for a guest. Communication with property owner was outstanding. We had 10 adults and a 1 1/2 year old and it was big enough for everyone. We know the area well because my parents live there. Everything was so clean and was stocked with everything we needed. The beach gear was great. It was nice to have the pool right outside to hang out. My teens loved it! Lots of things are close by and just 10-15 minutes from beaches. I had to get a hold of the owner and he responded quickly! Would highly recommend staying here! ##### Melissa T. We rented both cottages, which was perfect for our family of eight adults. We had plenty of room to gather inside and out, but also could enjoy private spaces if we needed to. The home is super clean and everything is well maintained. The beautiful pool area was a family favorite, particularly in the evening. There was also plenty of space for parking three large vehicles. Check-in was seamless and communication was excellent throughout. ##### Stacy M. The rental was exactly as described, and the hosts were attentive and responded very quickly when we contacted them. It is clear that they want their guests to enjoy their stay. We had 5 adults and 2 children and we could have fit more people comfortably! The pool is great for kids and adults. Location is on a busy street but you wouldn’t notice when you are inside or in the backyard. Close to the beach and lots of restaurants. The location is perfect to walk to Publix and even downtown Sarasota (approx. 2 miles), and yet just know it’s on a main road and with a sewer lid and road patchwork out front there is some rumbling from traffic. We were in town for a family wedding, these cottages were perfect for our large group to have some separation when needed. The heated pool and seating area were relaxing. ##### Lisa B. There was plenty of room for everyone especially with the addition of the In-law suite with full kitchen. The place was very clean, pool was amazing and the location was perfect. Quick drive to sarasota, long boat key and siesta key. Plenty of beach amenities to use. Definitely would stay here again. ##### Kristel S. We stayed here while on vacation celebrating my mother-in-law's 50th birthday and had a blast! Space: There were 8 of us (3 couples + 2 young adults). We had the perfect amount of space without feeling too crammed. It was also nice that there was a separate cottage attached if anyone were to need their own space. Cleanliness: Everything was clean, including the pool and showers. I usually get grossed out showering in places other than my own, but I was not. Host: Very good with communication and can tell they care about their guests. Location: It is about a 15 minute drive from both Lido Beach and Siesta Beach. They provided a list of recommended restaurants, we tried a couple of them and they were amazing! Other: We had all of the items that we needed - kitchen utensils, shampoo, conditioner, soap, etc. We did stop before we got there for more paper towels and toilet paper since we had such a large group and were there for 6 nights. Overall, I would highly recommend this, especially for groups or couples vacationing together! ##### Marykate F. Friends and family flew in from across the country and John and Chrissy’s place was perfect for our two families. Cottage #1 gave our young adults privacy and the three bedrooms in Cottage #2 gave us plenty of room for everyone else. Loved having a full kitchen so thoughtfully stocked and the beautiful pool gave us a place for everyone to hang out together and decompress after all the activities.
