Once you arrive, you can park your car and walk or bike to Seaside, Seagrove and Watercolor, which are just a short distance away! This area is so special with the tree lined roads, and yet so close to the beautiful white sugar sand beaches, which are a quick three-minute walk away. This 2019 renovated coastal cottage is great for a small family getaway! It is a cozy two story with a reverse floor plan. It has three bedrooms plus an open bunk area that offers flexibility in sleeping arrangements, along with two bathrooms and one-half bathroom. Completely renovated and expanded in 2019! Newly renovated bathrooms, kitchen, custom bunk beds, freshly painted and new flooring December 2019\. All new appliances! The dining table seats six. The living area, three bedrooms and each bunk bed have their own TV. This home has cable and wireless internet. Dogwood Cottage is located in Old Seagrove Beach which is a quiet, residential area, less than 150 yards to the beach and only one block east of Seaside. You can enjoy all that Seaside has to offer - shopping, restaurants, and live entertainment - which is just a 4-minute walk, through the shaded tree lined side streets. Your children can ride bikes into Seaside without ever getting on a busy road. Features of the cottage include a bright open floor plan upstairs with a living area, dining area and kitchen. Natural light filters in through the large windows in the stairwell tower. The ensuite queen bedroom is just off the living room. The attached bathroom was newly renovated in 2019\. A flat screen TV is located in the queen bedroom and the living room. There are two beautiful bedrooms on the ground floor which each have a King bed, and they share a newly renovated bathroom across the hall which includes a double sink vanity, toilet and a large shower. Just off the main entry of the cottage is a half bathroom, and towards the rear of the home is a set of custom bunk beds. New pool added Spring 2020, along with a back porch! The large backyard is great for hanging out after playing at the beach. There is an outdoor shower conveniently located on the side of the home. Everything on the posting is spot on. 4 minute walk to the beach and about the same to the shops, food trucks, and restaurants at Seaside. Very clean. Great pool. The Communication with the owner was great. She answered all of my questions leading up to the trip very promptly and even checked in to see how things were going on during our stay. The only downside is the tv in the family room did not work. But there was so much to do we didn’t even notice until our last day. You may want to bring your own beach chairs or rent the chairs at the beach. The ones at the house are pretty uncomfortable and better suited for children. ##### James C. Great location within walking distance of all the seaside restaurants and beaches. We really enjoyed the pool. New kitchen appliances with plenty of plates, pots & pans etc. Check in was easy and communication with the host was great. Cons: limited supplies provided considering the high price of renting the home. No extra toilet paper, paper towels, detergent, coffee filters, etc.. Would give it 5 stars if these extra details were added. The downstairs AC had a little trouble keeping up (it doesn’t have a separate unit). Living room TV is small, and the TV remote had no batteries. Beach “toys” were piled in a corner of the backyard, would be nice if those were cleaner and kept in a storage bin. ##### Logan P. We loved it the first year before it sold to property management group. It was so disappointing that basic cleaning needs weren’t met upon our arrival. Floors were not cleaned, bathrooms were a mess, needs major furniture updating as tables/ chairs were wobbly. Property also needs an overall cleaning and touch up paint. Trash was found all around the landscaping and when we arrived the pool was recently shocked and couldn’t be used. Very murky. It’s a GREAT location but probably won’t revisit due to cleanliness. Settled among old world cottages and enormous investment properties, we loved every minute of our family time here! This home is a modest, updated throwback to beach cottages of yesterday with all of the comforts of today! The home was perfectly positioned away from the action; yet a quick walk to the beach and shopping. We enjoyed daily walks and jogs, morning coffee on the balcony, quick trips to the market for treats and wine, and fell in love with the quirky shops and food trucks. We loved being a short walk from the beach and Seaside. The pool was perfect for the times we weren’t at the beach. This house has plenty of space with great amenities. Just east of Seaside (7 min walk to center of town), but nestled in a quiet neighborhood, which we appreciated. Also just a 5 min walk to beach access with MUCH less crowded beaches than down at Seaside. We were close enough to the dining and shopping of Seaside, but we enjoyed a much more relaxed beach experience. The house is very clean and everything in working order. Carole is really responsive to questions, which is so nice. The pool and back yard area were lovely. This is a really great place to stay! ##### Rachel C. The issues was immediately addressed, however, was not fully resolved. The comfort of the home was 5 stars! We loved having the large sofa and a fully stocked kitchen. The private pool was a HUGE bonus for daily use! The house sits on a quiet street and is a close walk to both the beach and Seaside. I would definitely recommend this house! ##### Natalie S. The house was great - very updated and comfortable. Our kids loved the pool. The location was excellent - easy access to the beach, restaurants, and shopping.
