The shaded patio has table and chairs and a nice breeze. The suite is decorated with handcrafted glass and woodwork designed by local artists and other artwork that adds personality. There is a large, fully equipped kitchen with a bar and stools, designed with Mexican tile, opening into the living room. Bedroom one has 2 twin beds with ample storage, and bedroom two has a queen size bed and a large armoire. For an additional guest, the sofa in the living room pulls out into a bed. The bathroom is also beautifully decorated with tiles, stone, and woodwork. Each room offers great ventilation with the ceiling and floor fans. It has WiFi, AC and ceiling fans. Casamar has a chlorine-free pool, wifi in the suite and throughout, a complimentary coffee bar in the mornings, free yoga and free private parking. A menu of additional services is available with massages, acupuncture, reflexology, reiki, pedicure/manicure, etc. Just 10 km from the Puerto Escondido airport and a one-minute walk from Zicatela beach, Casamar is a tranquil place set in closed, luscious gardens with high palm trees. The property was well located. Staff were wonderful and very helpful. The resort offered many extras, ie: water aerobics, yoga, Meet and greet night. Office staff was helpful in obtaining taxis and setting up trips. We were lucky to be there on the owners birthday. The staff treated him and the visitors to some native dancing wine and cake. Although we had a full kitchen. We would opt to eat breakfast at the resort and eat else.where. the extras and friendliness of the staff and owner made our trip! ##### alison d. Casamar is this beautiful oasis where you walk in and feel like you're in this private paradise by the beach. The chlorine-free pool surrounded by beautiful landscaping by the restaurant is certainly a highlight. The restaurant food is great and all the staff are friendly and helpful. We were able to join a meet and greet dinner where you meet the owner and other guests which was fun. Casamar creates it's one special community within its walls that allow you feel happy staying put if you don't feel like venturing out, but when you want to go out everything is close. So many wonderful restaurants, the beach is right there. I am so happy we chose Casamar and I felt sad leaving when our time was up. Thank Casamar for a wonderful experience! ##### Nancy T. Located in a small, international-touristy village just south of Puerto Escondido, this private apartment, equipped with comfortable rooms; ceiling fans and air conditioning; full kitchen; purified water; a pool; optional get-togethers where I met interesting people (including, notably, the host of Casa del Mar) as well as yoga and dance classes; kind and attentive staff; and an outdoor shower at the foot of our stairs, I was relieved to return after my long days on the beach watching my friends surf the glistening tubes and relax in comfort.
