Ellie's Buena Vista (Ellie's Great View) is a serene and beautiful Santa Fe style home in the historic neighborhood of the South Capitol. An easy and delightful 15-minute walk from the Santa Fe Plaza via the Old Santa Fe Trail, guests will truly enjoy this spacious abode and the advantages its ideal location has to offer. Right outside the front door guests have a fantastic view of the Sangre de Cristo mountains as well as ample opportunities for amazing sunrise photo ops.
This spacious home offers 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, a large living area with a custom-built kiva fireplace. Enclosed front and back patios for privacy and a small enclosed yard accessed from the upper yard. Parking space availability. This wonderful lodging is easy to get to and is a short drive to Paseo de Peralta, one of the main roads in Santa Fe. Guests may choose to take an early or late evening walk through the historic and lovely neighborhood.
Ellie's Buena Vista can take reservations now for availability beginning May 15, 2017.

Entry instructions could use some updating. Also, was told we could park in the garage but it was full of furniture. Outside wasn't raked or mowed but it was too chilly to spend much time outside anyway. House was clean and comfortable and the location was great. Really enjoyed the fireplace! Lots of room and full of charm.

Ellie’s was a terrific spot, and our stay in Sept 2025 for 3 nights was excellent. The house was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was stocked thoughtfully with everything we needed for cooking (we cooked breakfast in the house but ate at yummy restaurants otherwise). The bathrooms are cozy. Washer and dryer worked fine. Great quiet neighborhood. We parked right outside the house and hardly needed the car because we walked most everywhere. Cute upscale grocery just a few blocks away. Excellent communication with the host, who quickly responded when I requested a slightly early check-in. An excellent stay!

Blissful!

Our third time staying at Ellie's and easily the most wonderful hosts and properties I have had the pleasure of staying with! You could not find better for a vacation with friends and family. It's scenic enough that even if you're too tired to go downtown or a museum, it's as much of an escape to just relax inside or on the shady terrace playing games. Thank you thank you! We so appreciated this adorable home so beautifully decorated and close to everything. Very comfortable beds! Good space. Outdoor areas were so nice. We loved being able to have our dogs here too. Had a couple questions during the stay that were quickly answered.

Great location. Very clean, well supplied and great location in historic district. This is an older so main room gets very cool, but bedrooms don't have cooling vents so recommend that bedroom doors are left partially open for better air circulation. Several outdoor patios and small yard area for relaxing and entertaining.

Ellie's is a lovely property, with a spacious, well-equipped kitchen. The cookware and tableware is in great condition. We enjoyed dining in, as well as breakfast and evening cocktails in the garden. The bedding was very comfortable, and we slept very well in the quiet neighborhood. The house is very user-friendly, with helpful labels and instructions where needed. We would definitely like to stay again, upon our next trip to Santa Fe.

Super cool house!

Experience was great from start to finish. The house was beautiful and felt very comfortable. Outdoor areas were lovely with great views. Some days we never even got in the car as many destinations are a short walk. Owners are very helpful and provided fast communication. Would definitely recommend staying at Ellie’s!

Charming house centrally located in Santa Fe

This charming home is in an attractive residential area within walking distance of Santa Fe's downtown tourist sites. We liked the decor, the well stocked kitchen, and the varied outdoor sitting areas. The host had lots of good recommendations, and she was quite accessible. In addition, if you are lacking in ideas of what to do in the area, there are plenty of resources in the common areas of the house to help you plan your sightseeing. The house is comfortable, and you can park on the street as well as in the garage area. Our party consisted of two couples. We had plenty of room, and I would not hesitate to book this house for a future visit. We had a wonderful time. lots of

Great house in a great neighborhood

First time in Santa Fe, we wanted to be in an authentic neighborhood, in an authentic Santa Fe home, that was walkable to all the things to do and close to the plaza. This home was great, lots of space had everything we needed with so many different areas to enjoy within the property inside and out. Also, the pictures don’t do it justice. Host was friendly and responsive when we had a question on the first night, would definitely recommend. Read the property guide when you first arrive so that you understand the property. We are from Georgia and always expect blasting A/C, so we just had to learn about how the house works and how Santa Fe does it. Again, highly recommend! Would stay again!

Lovely home in a great location

We enjoyed a very comfortable stay in this lovely NM style adobe home. The kitchen is well-appointed and the fireplace set up and gift of wine were really nice touches! Museums and historical sites were an easy walk away. We would definitely rent this home again.

Beautiful location and well stocked home!

This place was exactly what we needed for our family’s stay in Santa Fe. Close to the plaza, and within an easy drive to everything else! The outside seating areas were wonderful in the afternoon sun. The house was so clean and the kitchen had all the necessities to make a home cooked meal. We would definitely stay here again!

Lovely home in walking distance to old town

Ellie's is a fantastic home with tons of New Mexico charm. I stayed with my wife and three kids 12-16. We loved it. The roll-out bed meant that there are four total beds and every kid got their own bed. The decor and locally themed books are lovely and made us feel very welcome and immersed in Santa Fe. The neighborhood was pretty quiet, and the garage parking was appreciated. Best of all, the house is walkable to the old town plaza area (about a 15 minute walk) as well as several other fun spots (Revolution Bakery, Kakawa chocoaltes). Check-in and check-out were both quite easy with good information and no hard or unusual check-out requirements.We had a great time and would happily stay again.
