Originally built in 1900, your 1BR condo pairs old-world charm with modern upgrades - including a wood-burning kiva fireplace with a banco bench, Mexican tile, stained glass windows, vigas ceiling beams, and a private garden patio with a covered portal. Rustic and quaint, Casa De Lorena is a great spot to call home during your time in Santa Fe! A prime location in the Historic Eastside, just 2 blocks from downtown, offers easy access to a hub of activity. Stroll the picturesque half-mile Canyon Road with its art galleries, specialty shops, and eclectic dining, or venture to the nearby historic Plaza -- both located less than 6 blocks away. LIVING AREA Sprawl out on the full-size futon sleeper sofa in the living room and watch the cable TV. An additional armchair offers a relaxing seat next to the wood-burning fireplace. A quaint study provides a peaceful respite with a desk and floor-to-ceiling bookshelves. Poor water pressure. Finding the property location was very difficult at night as the mailbox numbers are hard to see. WARNING: If google maps tells you to turn down Johnson don't do it. Youll drive to the end of the road and it tells you are at your location. You kind of are but the house is on the other side of the fence lol. Turning around becomes a challenge! Once you reach Johnson the property is two buildings away. There are 4 mailboxes. The 613 is hard to see at night but knowing there are 4 boxes helps. You won't see a house just a fence then a gate. Recommend bringing a flashlight. At night the parking area is a little dark as is the pathway behind the wooden doors. There are lights along the path but for me it was still a bit difficult esp the first night trying to find the right house (it's at the end of the path.) And if the outside light isnt on you will need light to key in the code to open the door. Tbe path to the house is beautiful though! I didn't like having to go through the living room to get to the bathroom esp since there is a bump and slight decline which tripped me up a few times in the dark. NOTE: Dont reccomend to anyone with even mobile accessibility needs because of this part of the floor as well as the tub. Anyway you can turn on lights to get to the bathroom but would be problematic if someone is sleeping in the living room. And yes the house can get hot but there are fans. ##### Danita C. On 1/1 and 1/2 the call center said someone was on their way to fix it. Not until 1/3 after asking to speak with a manager, did someone actually come. This person left us with a broken hotspsot and admitted he had no idea how to do anything related to tech. Apparently the last two renters had also reported the same problem. I run my own business and can't take meetings in busy areas so I lost out on business. The call center in the Caribbean was of no help. Had they told us no one was coming, I could've made alternate plans but because they kept assuring us that someone was on the way, we stayed home to talk to the repair person. ##### Alexandra A. Séjour de 4 nuits en décembre 2022 ### 8/10 – Bien #### Siraj I. 25 nov. 2022 Points forts : Propreté #### Nice property, can use a few updates. Overall stay was nice, but we did have some issues. When we got to the property, found that the electronic lock did not work, it was out of battery, had to call VRBO and after trying a few things, got a spare key from a lock box. On a Summer day this is not an issue, but when it is 17F outside and after a long drive, it is not fun. Next, the main heater in the house did not work correctly, first night the temp dropped below 55F in the home, and the next day a technician came to look at it and left us with a temporary space heater. Not very pleasant when it is freezing outside. Overall, this would be a very cozy and nice place for a couple, but if you have children, it might not be enough. Also, the heaters need to be fixed/updated. ##### Siraj I. There was no floor fan available as indicated. The temperature on our day of arrival was good 95 degrees. The rental has no air conditioning. Speaking to the corporate office was difficult. Eventually another employee in the corporate office in Oregon gave us a local manager’s contact information to retrieve a fan. The combination lock was functional for 2 days. Fortunately the local property manager had a key to unlock the door. The rental itself is comfortable yet small. The location in relation to the downtown area is perfect. ##### Sandra N. They use a keyless entry with code. Did not work several times and if we did not have a cell phone to call for assistance to reset code we would have been locked out….place is comfortable and cute backyard for your dog. Area is hard to walk to the Plaza since side walks in the area are not complete. They did not provide COFFEE or Kleenex for guests. They have everything else you need to cook, Their heater system was a mystery…… could not get it to work and It was needed . Convenient location and we love Santa Fe to visit! ##### Cheryl K. It was well-stocked. As there was no air-conditioning, keeping the unit cool at night involved opening windows, which might be as problem for some guests. Wifi was excellent. The one issue was the complicated door access, which required entering 10 digits on a very small keypad every time you wanted to enter. Worse, the code only worked about half the time, requiring standing outside and contacting Turnkey by cell phone. While the staff was responsive, we went through 5 different codes. Finally we got the physical key and then didn't need to worry about getting in. I recommend using a different access system. ##### Linda Jozwik B.
