A retreat for solo travelers or couples who appreciate historical Santa Fe architecture and the luxury of updated amenities. The casita has a combination of flagstone and Saltillo tile flooring, with brightly colored Spanish inspired tiling tastefully incorporated into the decor, intricately carved wooden cabinetry, a stone tiled shower, and wooden Vigas throughout. The Space: Relax in bed or on the loveseat to read, work, or take in a movie. The fully functioning and equipped kitchen is perfect for meals at home, and there is a built in dining bar for eating indoors. If you’d prefer an outdoor atmosphere, there is small private courtyard off the back of the casita with two seats, and a charcoal grill. Reliable high-speed Wi-Fi and free private parking are available for the most carefree stay possible. Located in the highly desirable Railyard District, you are within walking distance to a plethora of shops, restaurants, theaters, and experiences such as the local farmer’s market and free concerts in both the Railyard and Plaza. Guest Access: Guests will have access to the entire casita including the private courtyard and back patio. Our home is equipped with a key lock box. A code for the lock box will be provided prior to your arrival. The Neighborhood: The local neighborhood and the city of Santa Fe is full of amazing places to visit. Below you can find detailed information of the most interesting Santa Fe districts. The possibilities are only restricted by your imagination and lust for adventure. The Railyard District is a large arts district with galleries, performance spaces, a cinema, restaurants & antique shops. Farmers Market is perfect to visit on Saturday mornings The Boxcar is for those who would like to catch the game Second Street brewery offer great live music and a pint The Violet Crown Cinema has a large lineup of local New Mexican craft beers as well as a full dinner menu The Santa Fe Plaza is also nearby. At about .7mi away, you may choose to walk or drive. Meow Wolf is an immersive and interactive experience that transports audiences of all ages into fantastic realms of story and exploration. Getting Around: Once in town, getting around is easy. Downtown Santa Fe and the surrounding historic districts are compact and most conveniently traveled on foot. It's no wonder Santa Fe was voted one of America's Top Rated Walking Cities. The Santa Fe Pickup Shuttle Free shuttle service that starts and ends in front of the former New Mexico Film Museum (the Jean Cocteau Cinema) on Montezuma Avenue and runs counter-clockwise with various stops around downtown. Bus Service Santa Fe has public transportation called Santa Fe Trails Bus Service Ride-Sharing Service Uber & Lyft rides can easily be arranged in Santa Fe using their apps. Downtown Parking Metered parking spots in downtown Santa Fe cost ＄2.00 an hour and are in operation from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday, excluding major holidays. Other Things to Note: You will fall in love with the design & decor of our recently refurbished house. History-buffs will surely appreciate the fact that the home is situated in a historic compound that was originally used as a Chinese Laundry. It fits just right into the many historical sites that can be found throughout Santa Fe. The casita is equipped with a Smart TV that allows you to stream your favorite shows as well as local stations. There is a small step at the entrance of the casita. The AC is a portable unit that will be installed from mid May- mid Sept each year. Baby equipment is available on a first come first serve basis for an additional fee. We can provide more details if you are interested. Interaction with Guests: We will be accessible for our guests 24/7 either via phone or message. Expect a quick and prompt response. When I emailed about it, they claimed they left stuff. Instead of just apologizing. Then they had ants and the response I got was "don't leave stuff on the counter, ants are common in NM."
