It’s a great property- quaint and vintage with the right updates to make it livable for a whole family. There was a local power outage during our stay, and the owners were super communicative throughout. Inside, a large lovely home with so many beautiful decorations, especially the wooded mermaids. Then you go up to the top deck and Wow, just Wow! Growing up in Santa Cruz was a blessing though I had moved away in 1990. Rarely visiting in the years since we had a large family gathering to attend & I wanted my family to experience the ocean way of life I grew up with, La Sirena provided it. The song of the waves does wonders for your heart & soul. Waking up for coffee & reading a book sitting in a chair watching the ocean never gets old. oh, & if you like mermaids this is your place! It is located near the beach which is a close 30 second walk. The views are unbeatable from the top deck. It was the perfect place for two families with kids ages 5 to 9 years old. The homeowners are especially responsive and kind in the communication. We enjoyed proximity to the beach which was fun for surfing and boogie boarding and the walk to Pleasure Point for good, casual food was fun and easy.
