Soak up the sun while you enjoy the ocean view from the furnished patio, or relax inside by the gas fireplace and watch your favorite Netflix show or movie. And be sure to take advantage of the private gas grill for warm-weather cookouts!

You cannot beat this home's prime location. Situated just east of downtown Santa Barbara, you can practically walk to everything! Enjoy the shops, museums, parks, and all the great restaurants and grocery stores, such as Convivo and the Tri-County Grocery store, right around the corner. You'll also be only steps from relaxing on East Beach! This home is one mile away from the Santa Barbara Pier and downtown! The Santa Barbara Zoo is also close, as are a few wineries for tastings and tours. There's also a bus stop close by for your convenience!

Great location. Nice unit, very comfortable. Only complaint is the trip manager that they insist on using for communication during the trip. I will say communication was excellent with the management company. However, I wanted to book late check out ( which they charge for) and it has to be done trip manager ONLY. No where in this could we find a way to do it ( even my 2 yr old son couldn't do it) so we were out of luck as they wouldn't help us. Also , parking directions! They state they share a parking lot with the Inn ( which they do. That's it, nothing else. SO we parked in the parking lot. Only to find out it's only for the in and we had to park in the garage. I did advise them to add that important fact to their listing for future guests. I do recommend this unit, it's a great stay except for these 2 flaws

Well located, efficient, comfortable

It was unusually cold weather so we were not able to enjoy beach, but easy walking access was nevertheless appreciated. Sofa bed in living room and the two beds upstairs worked well for the four adults. Nice to have downstairs half bath as well. Some of the dishes in cabinets were not very clean and had to be washed prior to use. Well appointed kitchen with dishwasher, large fridge, and multiple coffee makers..

SB beach side retreat

We love the property right away the layout was great. The property was immaculately clean. It was all close to the beach and within walking distance of markets, restaurants, and many of the things we came to Santa Barbara to say we enjoyed it and will definitely stay there again. The property had plenty of towels, beach chairs, coffee to start our morning right. There was a great food store Tri county produce a few feet away. Everything was sobao convenient. I would love to come back and rent this lovely home again.

Great family getaway with grandbaby

The location close to the beach was perfect for our family. Beach towels, toddler pails/shovels, chairs and wagon made it easy to get us all there every day. Layout of home was great with enough private space with separate bathrooms and porches plus enough shared space too, including a 1st floor bath and outdoor area. Comfortable, well stocked, cozy. Perfect place.to enjoy time with our toddler grandbaby and his parents. Would totally stay here again!

Privacy is excellent

The path to the property runs thru the parking lot of the Blue Sands Inn, so you must be very careful of extended pickups with trailer hitches, or their tailgate down. The rug on the patio is in sad need of replacement, (third world looking) tattered, faded and unraveling. it was hot and humid, (unusual for SB) fans were provided, but some electrical outlets didn't work. Ceiling fans in bedrooms and living room/dining area would be a possible solution.Overall six on a ten scale.

wish there was better communication

poor communication from Vacasa/owner great location, well equipped kitchen, broken fold out sofa (had we known we would have looked at other properties), broken heater, alerted Vacasa as soon as we checked in - no response for 2 days, (space heaters dropped off on 3rd evening of our stay), disappointed in Vacasa will avoid in future.

Great Location!

The property is nicely situated to the beach and zoo with a small grocery store nearby. Great walking opportunities. A few fixes would be great. First oil the squeaky door to the main bedroom (didn't want to wake the baby), provide detailed directions to the heating system (we were there at a change of seasons), 2 keys in the lockbox. While the towels were washed, they had an odor. I think this is because as you leave you are to wash the towels, not sure how the proceeding folks washed the towels....We put on sanitize - but at home we use vinegar which helps. Took us a while to find the sheets for the sofa. So, a bit more focus on directions/details would be make this 5 star.

Beautiful beach vacation home

This home is perfectly located seconds from the ocean, minutes from downtown and an east drive to other Santa Barbara sites. The home is beautifully furnished and immaculately cleaned. The garage is stocked with beach towels and chairs. It was a perfect home for our family get away. We will definitely book again.

Great Location, Underwhelming Experience

We stayed here with family while in town for a wedding. We all traveled from out of state and had 2 children with us under 1yr old. The reason you consider staying here is the location. 2 minute walk to east beach, 10 minute walk to the zoo, 25 minute walk to the pier. Restaurants and groceries also near by. This made it very easy to pack up and go with young children knowing we could get to and from the beach so quickly. Reasons to reconsider staying here- The unit is very dated. Everything squeaks, door, floors, bathroom hardware etc. This may not matter to most visitors but with young napping children for us it was an issue. The kitchen. Everyday we woke up the ants, including the day we checked in. The kitchen included nothing but dishes, pots, pans and coffee. No ziplocks, plastic wrap, Tupperware, condiments, paper plates or even tin foil. The ice maker did not work in the fridge. The BBQ igniter did no work either. The living space was adequate but really could use a facelift. No fans (ceiling or floor) for the downstairs living area which got quite warm during the afternoons. The floor mat looks more like a bathroom mat that is curling up at the ends. The garage. Good size, desperately needs a keypad to make it somewhat convenient. Anytime you leave, you either need to park the car outside while you go around and inside to open up the garage or if you are lucky enough to be riding with some have them do it. Either way it is super inconvenient. Also, unit had nothing for the beach. I don’t recall if it advertised beach supplies or not, but it has nothing. No hairs, umbrellas or even toys. Very unusual in my experience for a beach house to provide nothing. Bedrooms were good size, but like the rest of the unit, need updating. Bed squeaked, bedding was very worn, screen door didn’t work, ceiling fans would be nice. Like I mentioned first, the location is really good and in my opinion that would be the only reason to stay here. The owners could do a lot with this unit if they chose to clean it up, but frankly at the price point it was disappointing

Great location and nice home

Great location and the home was nice. The only complaint we had was the bed in the guest bedroom was very uncomfortable and very noisy every time the person sleeping in it moved. Many people have mentioned this is past reviews; I hope the owners or property manager read these and realize that a simple Costco bed would be a great upgrade and improve the stay. Other than that, it was great.

Lovely and clean, yet slightly dated, home. Pro's: Loved the fireplace, and access to W/D and garage. Relaxing was easy in this home. Beautiful area with lots to do outside the door. Cons: The master bedroom king bed is as bad or worse than prior reviews. Mattress must be old, no support and makes lots of noise and has cheap sheets. I wouldn't stay here again unless the mattress and box were replaced. Not sleeping well on vaca was a bummer. The living room rug should be retired, it's more like a big bath mat.

Great location!

We really liked the location. Walking distance to zoo and beach and State St. there’s also a local market that sold yummy fruit! The check in process was easy. We have 3 small kids (one is an 8 month old who wants to crawl everywhere) and we found the floors to be dirty (our sons feet were dirty just from exploring the house when we got there. We don’t wear shoes in the house so we know it wasn’t us trekking in dirt). It’s also located close to train tracks so be prepared to hear the train early in the morning and late at night. Didn’t bother us much cuz our kids wake up early anyway. The beds are very squeaky and loud. So if you’re sharing with a light sleeper then it may be a problem. The kitchen was fully stocked and it had everything we needed. The outdoor patio area is nice so you can eat meals outside. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Just a couple of tweaks to make it 5 star!

Great location, clean but needs upgrades

The lock box at the front door was not as convenient for many reason as you will experience for yourself. A modern digital touch pad would be a great improvement. Once inside you will find the home clean with comfortable furnishings. The kitchen has ample dishes, servicing supplies, cookware and appliances were in working order. Upstairs you have two bedrooms and two full baths. The beds were descent in comfort but the master bed frame should be replaced. Every movement & turn had it squeaking enough to wake you up on both sides. Bathrooms need upgrades too. Faucets are old, rusted and patinas. Master tub felt like it would give on the floor as you step into the tub. Unfortunately for us the master toilet needed repair and wasn’t usable until our last day. Response for the repairs needed was good but it went from maintenance personnel to plumber taking more days to get fixed. The half bath down stairs was very helpful! Couldn’t have made it with one toilet for 4 people. The walls in the whole house are very thin so noise does carry through out. Apparently we are loud people ;) The garage could fit 2 cars but required some juggling. The garage could use a touch pad on the outside wall as well to make it easier to get in and out. I’ve stayed at many VRBO and my first Vacasa stay with this house. The location made the other short comings more tolerable. Beach, market, restaurants, all walking distance from the house. If the home owner could live in their house now as we did, they could see the tiredness it has become.

Perfect for our group of five - two couples and a baby. Easy check in and out process, clear communication. The location was so amazing I couldn’t imagine being anywhere else. The kitchen was well stocked and the place as a whole very clean and organized. Could not recommend this place more!

Santa Barbara Getaway

Had a lovely stay at the property. Great location - easy walk to the beach and about a mile walk to the Wharf, but an easy walk as well. It was comfortable to just stay in an relax in the evening after spending the days exploring Santa Barbara. Sadly though, the 3 of us found the beds very uncomfortable, resulting in back pain for all of us. Something that is not usual for any of us. Otherwise, it was a perfect stay.
