"What an unexpectedly seamless stay! There was a shuttle bus that met us at the Shinkansen station that took us to the Onsen. When we arrived, we were ushered to a comfortable lobby for check-in. The bellman showed us the entire hotel and onsen, and walked us through our kimonos and slippers. Lovely breakfast, lovely rooms, lovely Onsen... and another free shuttle back to the Shinkansen station. We will definitely return! "

"Great slice of cabin in the woods humble abode. Clean and warm. You will need a car with AWD and snow tires if visiting in the winter. Beware though, there are monkeys in the woods and they come out in the warm late afternoon. "Stay was amazing ! Mr Fukushima was so kind - he helped us with discounted lift tickets, picked us up from the train station and took us grocery shopping. Location was right at the Iwatake gondola. Please note the unit is in traditional Japanese style - sleeping on the floor with Japanese pillows (very different to western pillows). Highly recommend !"

"Hallways smelt poorly, carpets are stained throughout the facility. We got the 4 person japanese room (only 2 in the room) and it was adeqaute for us. Outdoor tub included with room can only hold two people, food included with half board was buffet style and wasn't very good, however had a decent selection of western, japanese and chinese cuisines."

"We had a wonderful stay. The staff were absolutely delightful and went out of their way to accommodate any requests including the dietary requirements of one person in our group. We were on the breakfast and dinner meal package and the options each day were fantastic, with a vast selection of European and Japanese options. One thing to note is that the hotel isn’t located in a town centre. Instead, it’s directly opposite a beginner lift in the Imori area, giving easy access to the slopes. The hotel itself is fairly basic, but it’s very clean and the staff more than make up for it with their warmth and helpfulness. There are free hot drinks in the foyer, an onsen, washing/drying facilities and the hotel will provide free transfers to train/bus station (or even to Lawsons/711 if you need supplies!) There’s also a games room with a pool table and table tennis. If you’re looking for nightlife, this probably isn’t the spot for you; but for a relaxed, comfortable tradtitonal Japanese ski stay, we couldn’t fault it."
