Geography room
First time staying at this property, the road turning off the highway was a little tricky to find and could easily be passed. The outside building is nothing special, but we were very pleasantly surprised with the suite we stayed in. Very cute, warm and cozy, clean and many amenities that accentuated our visit. Great destinations basically just to sleep and fairly close to all the things.

Super convenient!
I was in town for a wedding and needed to be between Sandpoint downtown area and the wedding location about 14 miles north. This was the perfect location! The host was nearby when I arrived and answered questions quickly. The room was clean and cute - perfect for 1-2 people with a kitchen and couch. I would definitely stay here again.

Secluded and quiet
We found this place to be secluded and quiet. Only 15 min from Sandpoint. There was very warm temperatures during our stay and the AC kept our stay very comfortable and muffled out the trains going by at night.

Historical
Great idea and love the themed rooms. We stayed in the Geography Room. I love staying in and around historical sites. It would be nice if there was some information included that honored the history of the site and schoolhouse. The grounds were interesting. It was almost like a "compound" with various type of housing haphazardly places all around the school building. A trailer here and a trailer there with LOTS of weeds and undeveloped areas especially around the school. Lower part of school in disarray with broken windows, boarded up doors, junk visible on the inside of windows ledges. Room was clean (aside from the forgotten cleaning rag in the bathroom sink). The room was small but enough for a sleepover. Lots of amenities like Keurig, fridge and shampoo/conditioner. Overall a good place to see and experience but probably a one time thing.

Unique and Convenient
This property is located only 5 minutes away from family who live in the area, so this was a very convenient "guest bedroom" for my recent visit. I enjoyed staying here because I am an alumnus of the old Colburn School.

Perfect for skiing
My husband and I came to town for a quick weekend snowboarding and skiing getaway. I hung around town while he hit the mountain and in the evenings we went out for fabulous dinners. The location of this VRBO was perfect for getting around the town but being far enough away to be quiet

Cozy stay in Colburn
