The building is old for a high-rise building, with few shops, and I think the upper floors are apartments other than the hotel on the first floor (sorry if I'm wrong). However, once inside the hotel, it is very new and clean, and appears to have been recently renovated. It is next to the train station in a neighborhood full of people hanging out, making noises, with loud music which makes it kind of sketchy. Police patrol cars are usually there "interacting" with the trouble makers. Being a hostel, the common are can be noisy, (teen agers preparing their meals at 1 or 2 in the morning). Location is unbeatable, the train/bus station is just next door. La Concha Beach, Aquarium & other points of interest are all within walking distance. Gotta mention Onix who was so nice to deal with. She's very friendly & helpful. Thanks so much!! Rooms are spacious & in good shape.
