We stayed in the Presidential Suite and the major complaint is that you can hear everything that goes on upstairs, and the upstairs room is for four. The guests were quite noisy with loud TV, games, and laughter. We texted the hotel staff at 11:30 PM and did not receive an aswer. The noise grew louder until we called the staff at 1:00 AM via whatsapp, and they then went to ask for quiet. Since our visit was in times of the pandemic, there was no restaurant service in the evening, so we had to go into San Miguel de Allende, which we wanted to avoid due to the pandemic. The breakfast service was very good. The site is comfortably close to San Miguel. The room is spacious and nice. It is a very cute hotel but with a major design problem in terms of noise isolation. I would highly recommend it for a weekday stay, but won't plan on going back during the weekend.
Overall a great stay in this boutique hacienda style hotel. Due to the style of the hotel there is no heating and can get cold at night but other than that everything else was perfect.
This hotel has all the no no no possible. Lack of service plus scorpions inside the room. I booked presidential suite but at check in they were trying to put us in a different room until I complained. They offered a bottle of wine per night per stay obviously until I complained they send a cheap bottle of red wine. The hotel is in the middle of the mountain and no one were there at night time not even at reception. As other guesses said is and old Hacienda with many deficiencies. But the very worst was that I found a scorpion over my bed. My little one was the one who see it first. I was trying to report this very important and dangerous issue but no one was there at the “hotel”. I left immediately with the most unsafe, dangerous and disturbing experience in a hotel ever. So do not stay here. Stay away from this hotel.
Very nice boutique hotel off the beaten path around the corner from a great patch of little restaurants about 20 minutes outside of town. We had a lovely dinner at Bastardo as there was not restaurant services in the hotel during the pandemic but the small friendly staff was happy to provide plates and glasses for the food and drink we brought, and coffee and tea were available for breakfast. We took advantage of the pool and jacuzzi in the afternoon and the nice patio overlooking the hills in the evening. Overall a very pleasant experience.
