The Space: Playa Collect is a stunning 2-bedroom, 1.5-bathroom beachfront unit in Playas del Yunque, offering beach views and direct beach access in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico. This beautifully appointed property is perfect for relaxing beachfront getaways, allowing you to enjoy serene walks along the shore and spectacular sunrises just steps from your door. It features a spacious and fully equipped kitchen with counter seating for three, a dining table overlooking the balcony with ocean views, a washer and dryer, BBQ, and air conditioning throughout. The living room includes a flat-screen TV, making it the perfect spot to unwind after a day in paradise. You will love the wonderful community amenities which include two large swimming pools, tennis courts, volleyball and basketball courts. The property includes 1 parking spot and 24-7 security, ensuring a safe and convenient stay. LOCATION NOTE: This property is located in a residential community where the residents are currently working towards getting the buildings painted and to repair some sidewalks. This does not affect our property’s interiors, as they are in optimum condition. We politely ask to take this into consideration before booking or leaving us a review. ACCESSIBILITY NOTE: This property is located in the community called “Playas del Yunque”, which does not legally require elevators in any buildings since they have a maximum of 3 floors. GETTING AROUND & PARKING The villa includes one (1) assigned parking spot. Renting a car is a must when staying in Rio Grande as Ubers and taxis are not readily available in this area. There are many activities within 15 minutes of driving distance and the roads are easy to navigate. LOCATION There are many things to do in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico. Here are our top picks which you will be sure to enjoy during your stay: Explore the lush and exotic El Yunque, the only rainforest under US Flagship. We can help you plan a hike or participate in a zip-line adventure. Experience the glowing waters on a night kayak tour in the bioluminescent bay in Fajardo. Taste the local flavors at the staple kiosks in nearby Luquillo – right next to the beach. Go on a horseback or four-track ride off the beaten path in Carabali Rainforest Park. Play a round of golf at the Wyndham Rio Mar Golf Course or any of the neighboring nearby courses like Bahia Beach Resort & Golf Club in Rio Grande or El Conquistador Resort in Fajardo. Other Things to Note: STARTER AMENITIES At West Indies Vacation Rentals, we strive to provide top-notch amenities, ensuring our guests feel at home during their stay. All properties come with freshly laundered bed linens and towels. We provide 2 bath towels per guest and 1 beach/pool towel per guest. We provide a set of disposable essentials to help you get your vacation started comfortably. These include: \- 1 set of hotel-size soap and shampoo (per bathroom) \- 3 garbage bags \- 1 roll of paper towels \- 2 rolls of toilet paper (per bathroom) \- 1 dish soap \- 1 dish sponge \- A small amount of laundry detergent Please note that we do not provide unlimited disposable amenities. It is the guest’s responsibility to review what is included in the property and stock any additional items needed for the duration of the stay. HOUSE RULES RENTAL AGREEMENT: All bookings require a signed Short-Term Rental Agreement, which will be sent upon confirmation of your reservation. Guests must upload a valid photo ID (no selfies) that matches the name on the credit card used for the booking. The agreement must be signed within 48 hours of booking or prior to entering the property, whichever comes first. Check-in instructions will not be provided until the agreement is completed. NO SMOKING: Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property. A $500 smoking fee will be charged if this rule is violated. NO PETS: While we are pet lovers, pets are not permitted at the property at any time. A $300 fine will be charged if this rule is violated, and guests may be asked to leave the property. QUIET HOURS: Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Please be mindful of noise during these hours out of respect for nearby residents/neighbors. UTILITIES (WATER & ELECTRICITY): In the event of an interruption to water or electrical service, the host is not responsible for hotel, alternate lodging, or transportation expenses. If service is interrupted for more than 3 hours, guests may cancel the reservation and request a refund for unused nights only. Nights already used are non-refundable. Paola provided all the details in advance, so we had no trouble finding the place or checking in.The apartment is just as cute as the photos — minimalist, modern, and very clean. I traveled with my husband and 6-year-old daughter, and it was the perfect size for us. We loved that our daughter had her own room and bathroom.The apartment was so well stocked! Plenty of linens, towels, and kitchen appliances — which we appreciated since our daughter has celiac disease, and we cook at home often. There were also thoughtful touches for kids: children’s dishware, beach toys, and a small toddler table.The beds were comfortable, the rooms had nice shades, and the AC worked great.The location is excellent — just steps from a quiet, uncrowded beach. We’d considered staying near Luquillo Beach, but we were so glad we ended up here. It felt peaceful and private, which we loved.We did drive to Luquillo to visit the kiosks, which was a short, fun trip! The food at Wepa Arepa was fantastic — highly recommend! We also had a really nice meal at Roots Coastal Kitchen at the resort next door to celebrate our anniversary.
