Marie answered all my questions promptly in addition to giving me tips on activities in the area. Very affordable with a grocery store less than 10 minutes away. The area is safe and the gate makes it even more so. We walked the streets to get food and there was no issues at all. It was clean, well stocked with supplies and had an amazing view of the ocean from the balcony. It is also close to the Rain Forest which is a must visit if you are staying on the east end of the island. The only things we had issues with was the a/c unit in the master bedroom stoppped working the last two days so it was a little humid/warmer in the room.we left the fans on to help, and there wasn’t a beach entry due to the boulders/rocks that lined the one beach area to the left of the property. This apartment was cutely decorated and stocked with everything you could imagine, even an extra toothbrush! It provides what is essentially a private beach, and is near many amazing things. It is minutes away from the Luquillo Kiosks and El Yunque. It was a great place to stay. I was able to watch the sunrise every morning right from the balcony. The owner was very thoughtful and provided great communication. The second special comment is the location. With a Car you are never more than a few miles from all of the interesting adventures like Carabali park, Rain forest trails and zip-line, surfing snorkeling SCUBA and catamaran beach trips. If you are walking there is a brunch restaurant/bakery about 5 blocks away and a (very special - public - only open 11 - 5) beach bar about 300 yards to the west and the famous KIOSKS (about 40 restaurants 50 yards from the Loquillo beach) are about half a mile to the East. I would give this VRBO 6 stars if it were possible. Two additional notes - the surf is noisy if the wind is blowing and there is no beach directly in front of the VRBO but an sandy unused beach is 200 yards west and the famous Loquilla beach (surfing, jetski rentals, beach equipment rentals etc ) is about half a mile to the east.
