"Rooms were exactly as advertised and very clean. The service went from great to average to great again. The restaurant staff seemed a bit inexperienced. The food was very good. The presentation and service was just above average. The staff attempted to address the issues and I would recommend giving it another try. "

"The staff here are amazing and go above and beyond for their guests! During the drive from La Fortuna up and down winding roads, our daughter was sick twice (last time being 5 minutes from the hotel). The team were so caring and helpful in helping us get her and the car sorted before we even officially booked in. We opted for the laundry service which was well priced and super convenient. The room had everything we needed and the bathroom products were amazing. Very well positioned with some great recommended restaurants nearby. They even helped organise a last minute night tour with a local company, where we saw lots of amazing wildlife. The included breakfast was delicious and made to order every morning. Banana pancakes were a highlight as was the complimentary popcorn in the afternoon for the children. I would not hesitate to stay here again and will be recommending to everyone."

"The hot tub did not work initially but after informing them, they fixed it fast. The breakfast left more to be desired. It was kind of skimpy unless you got the rice and beans. They didn't give us a menu for the first two mornings even though we asked for one. Then we randomly got menus the next two mornings.. weird. The beds were a little hard but not terrible. They do not give you clean sheets or bath towels if they come clean your room. My son split a little chocolate on his sheets and they just turned the fitted sheet 180 degrees. Beautiful view and nice people. The AC worked but didn't get all the humidity of the room because the window in the bathroom only had a screen on it. Was beautiful but happy to move on to our next place."

"We stayed in the family Villa #2, with our daughter. It was a nice place and we enjoyed the separate sleeping room front he family room and kitchen area. The location is fairly far from La Fortuna, which if you plan strategically, can be a real advantage for your stay. We ended up booking most of our activities around the hotel area, and only venturing into La Fortuna for one evening. We enjoyed the Hanging Bridges, LaRoca Canyoning, Sky Adventures, Arenal 1968 Trail, and had a wonderful time. I would say the views from our place were just ok, not the dramatic views that you see on their website. We had more of a jungle view than we did a Volcano view, though if you looked out the window in the right way, you could see it. The included breakfast was nice, though it was a drive to get there. No way to really walk there - it’s incredibly steep road that would be dangerous to be walking on at that time of day. Otherwise, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and everyone there was very nice and accommodating. "

"The room and the property could not be at a better place, right next to the CloudForest Entrance. Rooms are spacious and clean, in the middle of nature. Front desk staff was very helpful in explaining the different options of how we could utilize the couple of days, with different tours, and also helped us in booking some tours and the taxis. The common room is quite big with coffee in the morning. Only suggestion for the management will be to make the shared kitchen a little bit better equipped. Otherwise, this was a wonderful stay, and would stay again in our next visit."
