Stroll to the top of Bernal Heights for splendid views of the city, sink into the cozy gray sofa with a magazine, or meditate in the leafy courtyard garden. Registration number: STR-0001998 Note: if you are 2 people and you need the sofa to be set up, an extra $65 fee will need to be paid to compensate the higher cleaning fee requested by our cleaning lady. Thank you for your understanding! Our space is unique because situated in the heart of Bernal Heights while being in a very quiet street with low traffic. It has great day light and the living room is facing the lush garden! Our location also gives easy access to San Francisco most popular spots while being close to the airport (roughly 20 minutes ride). Access to highways 101 and 280 down the hill gives a rapid access to San Francisco best spots as well as the South and East bay. Public transportation or uber/lyft are other options for your commutes. Important: please note that there is an additional one time $60 fee to get the sleeper sofa set up if you are only 2 guests and need two separate beds. The apartment and deck are for your private use. You are welcome to use the garden (shared with us) to relax and enjoy sunny California! We live in the main house upstairs and are always happy to assist our guests and to meet them to answer any question they might have and give them advice about what to do/see in the bay area. Please check our guidebook where we have listed our favorite spots in the city! We can easily be reached by sms or through the app. We are usually really responsive. Bernal is one of the cutest and most walkable neighborhoods in San Francisco. It has a unique village atmosphere and energy. The apartment is ideally located close to Cortland with its great restaurants, grocery shops, cafes, and bars. Public transit: The flat is just a 10 minute walk from Mission Street, where you can catch the 14/14L/49 buses, which come frequently and drop you off at 24th/Mission BART, giving you easy access to downtown, San Francisco International airport and East Bay. Bus 24 is just a block away and will take you to Noe Valley, the Castro, lower pacific heights and all the way to the marina and the presidio. The flat is also 10 minutes walk from the J Church muni that will take you to cool places such as Noe Valley, Dolores Park and all the way to downtown. Bus 23 is 5 minutes away and will take you to ocean beach. Ride Sharing: Uber and Lyft are a great bet for getting around the city without a parking burden. If you download these apps you can expect to be picked up within minutes for transport to your destination for reasonable fares. Parking: the street parking in the neighborhood is easier than many SF neighborhoods. You can expect to find easy free street parking if you would like to rent a car. The neighborhood is very walkable and it's easy to walk or get buses to other parts of the city. We loved going up to the top of Bernal Hill to see the sunset and visit with the local dogs.The kitchen is well stocked and the living spaces are comfortable. It was noisy, though. The host family lives upstairs, and their ordinary footsteps were thunderous for us down below. This is probably due to how the building is constructed and not something they can help. Also - tall people will want to watch their heads when going in and out of the front door, since has a low top.We had a great week and very much enjoyed spending time in the neighborhood. ##### Vicki O. At first glance, it is a beautiful place and in a great neighborhood! On our second night, we heard rustling near the kitchen and the following morning found that a rodent had eaten through our unopened feminine products. We contacted the host and she was responsive but didn’t provide a helpful solution in that moment. She also mentioned they had been dealing with this issue, which is unfortunate because she didn’t provide a warning of any sort prior to our stay. In the end, we had to find another place. We were able to walk everywhere. There are a lot of restaurants, bars and stores a short walk away. Parking was easy to find.The apartment itself was spacious and comfortable. It had a very nice shower head and all the convenience of home. Although we didn’t really cook there, the kitchen was well stocked with the basic necessities. They have a couple of choices for making coffee. If you choose the Nespresso Virtuo, make sure to bring your own pods. We would definitely stay there again, though don’t count on sleeping in after 6:30 am if you are a light sleeper.
