A private, light-flat a block away from Haight Street.  
  
Your comfortable home has 4 bedrooms with queen size beds and one bedroom with a twin bed in a charming restored Victorian home in the heart of historic Haight-Ashbury neighborhood where the 1960's hippie counter-culture started. You are also an easy and short walking distance to the Golden Gate Park.  
  
There is a staircase to reach this second floor unit.

Welcome to the vibrant Haight District, where San Francisco’s eclectic charm is alive and thriving! Known for its countercultural history, the Haight offers a lively mix of historic landmarks, boutique shops, buzzing bars, and local eateries, all just steps from your door. Whether you’re looking to explore vintage clothing stores, quirky bookstores, or contemporary fashion boutiques, you’ll find it here.  
  
Food lovers will be delighted by the diverse dining options — from cozy cafes to artisanal bakeries and international restaurants serving everything from vegan delights to authentic Asian and Latin flavors. And when the sun goes down, the district comes alive with laid-back pubs, live music venues, and cocktail bars offering a true taste of San Francisco nightlife.  
  
The Haight’s walkability makes it ideal for a relaxed, car-free stay. Stroll to the iconic Haight-Ashbury intersection, the heart of the 1960s hippie movement, or take a scenic walk to nearby Golden Gate Park. The park offers endless activities, including the Conservatory of Flowers, the Japanese Tea Garden, and the de Young Museum.  
  
Whether you’re here to shop, dine, or soak in the history, the Haight District promises a memorable experience, blending the best of San Francisco’s past and present!  
  
You have full and private access to a an entire 5 bedroom flat. . My wife and I (and our lovable Golden Retriever Charlie) make our home available when we are out of town and we love having people enjoy our family home.  
  
There is a fully stocked chef's kitchen in case you wanted to make a cup of coffee with the Keurig or cook up a meal.  
We have one full bathroom and another 1.5 bathroom.  
  
Feel free to lounge around the dining table at the end of the kitchen area, or use the back steps to go down to the garden (please note that during fall there are a lot of dry leaves and twigs on the turf) in the back where you can relax among the flowers and trees.  
  
The laundry machine is at the back of the kitchen exit leading to the backyard. If you need to to use it for small load, please let us know. If you have a bigger load you can go to the laundromat on Waller St and Cole which is a few blocks away.  
  
You'll have exclusive access to a full 5 bedroom flat in the heart of the Haigh Ashbury district. The back garden is all yours as well.  
  
You are right in the heart of the Haight District, with excellent public transit options to explore San Francisco with ease. Several Muni bus routes pass nearby, making it simple to get around without a car.  
  
• Route 7 (Haight/Noriega): Just steps from your door, this bus takes you directly downtown, passing through Market Street and Civic Center. Perfect for exploring Union Square, the Ferry Building, and other key city landmarks.  
• Route 6 (Haight/Parnassus): This line also connects you to downtown destinations while offering access to Golden Gate Park and neighborhoods further west.  
• Route 33 (Ashbury/18th Street): Ideal for heading south to the Mission District, a lively area known for its murals, cafes, and nightlife. This route also offers convenient transfers to other major lines.  
• Route 43 (Masonic): Running along Masonic Avenue, this route connects the Haight with the Presidio and the Marina, great for scenic views and waterfront adventures.  
  
The neighborhood’s walkability and proximity to these bus routes make it easy to explore San Francisco’s best attractions, whether you’re heading to the park, downtown, or beyond. With frequent service and well-marked stops, navigating the city from Page & Ashbury is a breeze!​⬤  
  
Browse among the many vintage clothing stores (Buffalo Exchange, Decades of Fashion, Love on Haight, Relic Vintage), bookstores (Bound Together Bookstore), gift stores specializing in '60s nostaligia (Psychedelic SF Art Gallery) and music stores (Ameoba Records).  
  
There are numerous, affordable and exotic restaurants within a few minutes walk; for example, Cha Cha Cha (Caribbean food), DragonEats (Vietnamese), Abu Salim Middle Eastern Grill, etc. There are also many places for breakfast and for coffee lovers: Brioche Bakery and Cafe, Cantana Coffee Company, Coffee To The People, Pork Store Cafe, or Ritual Coffee Roasters. If you're looking for a cocktail or a bar, don't miss The Alembic (Gastropub with handcrafted cocktails), Zam Zam for elegant cocktails, or Hobson's Choice specializing in rum drinks in a Victorian house.  
We have our friendly Golden Retriever to greet you from time to time.  
  
This home is also rented out by the room, but when you book the whole house listing the hosts will not be home,
