The description as an in law apartment is accurate: it is a lower, walkout level. However, some tips that may help, for first timers, like us: there is no hot tub, or stove or oven--it is more of a kitchenette, with hot plate and Keurig maker (two flavored cups were provided); you don't have control of the temperature, as it is in the owners' home upstairs.
