Terme di Saturnia Natural Spa & Golf Resort - The Leading Hotels of the World

Terme di Saturnia Natural Spa & Golf Resort - The Leading Hotels of the World

10/10 Excellent
"Pros: 1) The room was spacious. 2) The valet was able to charge my non-Tesla-EV overnight after I asked about it. I greatly appreciated this as I was never able to get the non-Tesla-EV chargers near the resort to charge. 3) It was near Cascate del Mulino so I didn’t have to drive there. It’s two mile return, mostly flat, so it was an easy walk! Cons: 1) Because being cold helps most people sleep better and my body already has issues regulating its temperature, I am going to gripe about the poor AC. 2) Although the resort tries, you’re not going to escape that sulfur scent. But you’re at a hot springs resort so it comes with the territory."

10/10 Excellent
"Restaurant: I find the menu of the main restaurant not inspiring and too complicated. Each portion besides the spagettis seems to be made well in advance. The result is not bad, but sorry not "tasty" (like miam) that you want to come again. I chose for example the "Rombo", it was a little roll with one or two gamberis inside and a minuscule portion of rombo... 40 Euros. It tasted of all and nothing... I do not care about the price but I like the traditional italian cuisine. It is usually simple and tasty... maybe the restaurant should go back to the roots of Marema or Tuscani cuisine? simple, cooked on the spot.. olive oil...herbs... Yes we can go to the club house, there the cuisine is okay for the price but also not great italian cuisine. The setting is for drink and eat after golf not for dining out. In the main restaurant of the 5* I expect the food to be really tasty...it is today "inspired by nouvelle cuisine" , but far from it. It is anyway not fashion anymore... i dream to see on the menu a whole fish in the oven or a great filet or why not a coniglio in Autum. Staff is however always GREAT! I was alone, therefore was not motivated to go out alone for dinner in town, but if I am in the hotel with my wife we usually skip the restaurant and to to town. There are not too many good restaurants, just about 3 to 4 good ones between Orbetello and Porto Stefano (for example "la bussola", but it changed owner 2 years ago)."
