It features 2 luxurious queen beds and a deluxe air mattress, a comfortable couch, a cozy kitchen, a full bath, 1 off-street parking space, HD TV in every room, blazing fast WIFI, and access to our shared large courtyard with BBQ. This is the ideal place for a great vacation. There are downstairs neighbors, so We are not a party house. It's cute. It's quirky. It feels like a camp, but it's 100ft to the beach and in the middle of everything Ocean Beach and San Diego have to offer. Within 2 blocks of restaurants, bars, shops, yoga studios, fishing, and surfing. Take advantage of our kitchen for meals, or venture out and sample some awesome San Diego restaurants during your stay here! Start the morning off right with some coffee in the kitchen, or pick up coffee at one of the numerous neighborhood coffee stands and walk two blocks to the beach for a stroll as you watch the surf. We are blocks from some of San Diego's most iconic beach spots. Have a hamburger at Hodad's or get a scoop of ice cream between two flavored freshly made mini-waffles at Lighthouse. Also, eating at the quirky restaurant way out at the end of the Ocean Beach Pier is something that shouldn't be missed. Of course, there is a BBQ grill, and it's always a good time to cook out. After lunch, head back home and take a nap or relax on the deck. If you like shopping, you are virtually 10-20 minutes from any destination in the greater San Diego Metro area. I would suggest starting with the cool little shops a couple blocks away on Newport Ave for the original artwork. At night, you have a number of really incredible options. On one of the nights of your stay, you have to walk down the beach and have a bonfire in one of the beach fire pits. It's an absolute imperative... a must do beach experience. The smell and sound of the ocean, the feel of the sand, the smell of the fire, the taste of the s'mores...... We also have the restaurant Bo Beau just a couple blocks away for a romantic dinner. Try the lobster risotto. ...and there are so many other great restaurants within walking distance: Kaiserhoff, OB Noodle House, etc For Touristy stuff... well, the beach is two blocks away. Step out on the sidewalk and look to your left. It's that blue thing where the land ends. SeaWorld is a five minute drive. The World Famous San Diego Zoo is a ten minute drive away. Disneyland is a ninety minute drive. We only rent entire apartments. The apartment is all yours. Please remember that you will be staying in a home, not a hotel. Therefore, we ask that you treat our space with the same respect you would show your own. If you need anything before, after or during your stay, we are just a text, call or email away. Our home has an electronic lock on the door. The codes needed to enter the property are available 5 hours prior to check-in. Ocean Beach is San Diego's most authentic beach community. We are probably best described as bohemian. Everyone is welcome. It's very free-spirited with just a touch of quirky. I would've probably been annoyed with myself but he had no complaints. Walk to the beach is 5 min but you can walk a min to get a perfect view of the ocean. All of my questions to the owner were answered quickly, within the hour and didn't cause any delay in the check-in process. There isn't air conditioning, which I was worried about since it was the end of July. The space was warm when we entered in the afternoon but there were fans going in every room and once evening came and the breeze from the ocean, it was pleasant for the rest of the stay. We kept the windows open the entire stay. The property was gated. Outside temperatures were mid 60's to mid 70's throughout our stay. Linens and towels were clean. It was great to have 2 bedrooms, we have a teenager who likes their own space. All of the other places I looked at in the neighborhood were 1 bedroom with a pullout couch. It was a short walk to the beach, via the streets, or there was a staircase at the end of the street that takes you down to the tidepools and then connects to the beach right by the pier. The staircase is steep though, so use the streets if you have little kids or trouble with stairs. Overall, very happy with our stay. ##### Megan J. Wi-Fi and flatscreen TVs in each room connected to streaming services. Cons: If you’re not familiar with Ocean Beach, you’re in the flight path of the San Diego airport. We are from MA and to try something different decided to trade the beaches of New England for SoCal this summer. This location is walking distance to Ocean Beach and the great beachy restaurants surrounding Newport Ave. Kids loved catching small crabs located in the tide pools at the end of the street. Walls were a tad thin and we heard snoring from next door one night, but the fan in our room drowned it out. other than that this neighborhood seem to adhere to quiet time. its located on the second floor so we had a nice breeze. Closet had lots of useful things for a trip to the beach! ##### Henry W. Was a bit more "used" or "well loved" than we expected but the property manager was more than accommodating. ##### Candice S. Very cozy apartment style setup, with all of the accomodations needed to cook, relax and enjoy the ambience of Ocean Beach. Unit was clean and had everything needed to cook and eat meals within, bathroom towels and toiletries were provided. Nice living area for lounging and watching TV and hanging out. Even additional items like beach chairs & a cooler came in handy. Also within the perfect walking distance to the Newport Ave area. Great little gem in OB. ##### Sean M.
