Close walk to the beach on both the ocean or the bay, so you can paddle board in the bay in the morning and boogie board in the ocean in the afternoon. There are five good sized bedrooms that fit all five couples in our family. Area of sand in front of the house was great for the grand children to play in. The boardwalk was far enough away that we didn't have a ton of traffic going by the house. The parking is very convenient. We were a large group (myself, husband, two kids, brother's family (with baby), and two sets of parents / in-laws. Having two kitchens and multiple areas to hang out made our large group dynamic perfect (we were able to all be together at times, but also have separate space for more intimate meals, napping baby, etc.). The location of the house is amazing. Easy to walk to the beach or bayside, but slightly removed from the really busy path on the beachside. It was also an easy walk to Belmont Park, restaurants, etc.Additionally, the house has nice updates and was super clean upon arrival. The kitchen's are fairly well-stocked (always a challenge with vacation rentals) and there's some nice beach gear in the garage. One thing to keep in mind is that the master bedroom on the second level is only accessible via the bedroom with the double bed or via the steps on the third floor. Kinda wonky! We made it work by closing the doors between those two rooms and the people who stayed in that master used the third floor as their main floor, so it totally worked. You truly can’t beat the location — just steps from the sand with unbeatable ocean views right from the house. Waking up to the sound of waves and enjoying coffee on the patio was a dream. The home was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing beach getaway. The host was responsive and welcoming, making sure everything went smoothly from check-in to check-out. The Property Management company was excellent with communication and the home was clean and had everything we needed. If you're traveling with family you should know we were able to fit a Honda Odyssey minivan in the garage, and there was still room for bikes. Pro tip: the garages are on Strand Way. From Mission Blvd, Turn right at San Luis Rey and then left on Strand.
