I wasn't expecting the Taj mahal-but I will say that it was a very unique experience. The animals were very entertaining. We also enjoyed conversing with other guests around the fire, and the owners were delightful and informative. So much better than a plain hotel room...with no personality. I’d recommend taking the owners’ advice and getting there during daylight hours to enjoy the farm and get the lay of the land, as the tipis are in a field a little walk away from the other cabins, bathrooms, showers and hot tub. There is a shared Johnny house toilet between the tipis, btw. We arrived after dark and they had glowing lights set up at the tipis to welcome us. Pretty magical, actually! The tipi was set up beautifully and simply. Spare, thoughtful, and all nice quality. The farm itself is great for kids with plenty of animals to enjoy. We made fast friends with the sweet cats and kittens and loved seeing the goats and donkey. We hope to come back and stay longer next time. Close to Taos and all local attractions. Cabins don't have tv or cell service, but internet is provided and works well.
