Le service de Mario,Inis et Gregoria ainsi que le monsieur qui je ne sais pas le nom,mais qui ma donner quelque chose pour guérir mon mal de ventre.ils,elles sont tous serviables et gentils. La piscine est petite mais tres appréciée. J'aurai apprécié avoir une cafetière a la chambre,par contre il étais possible d'en acheter au restaurant de la place.cette endroit est tres tranquille et pres de la plage,mais loin pour des personnes a pieds qui voudrait aller au restaurants de samara.nous recommandons cette endroits. Hotel confortable (literie/mobilier/linges) pour un tarif raisonnable dans la region. Bon petit dejeuner a part le jus. Piscine ridiculement petite, mal nettoyée donc inutile pour nager. Parking ombragé. L hotel a mis beacoup de temps avant de trouver la confirmation de notre reservation. Eau chaude en panne les 2 jours de notre séjour. A 3 minutes a pied de la plage.

Nous avons apprécié cet hôtel, Daniella nous a bien accueilli. La plage est à 2 minutes de marche, vraiment belle et chaude. Avons bien aimé notre séjour, seulement 2 jours.

Very small room with air conditioning and a rusty fridge. We paid $50 US for two virgin pina coladas and 6 little bottles of soda! We will never return to this hotel since the road that leads from the hotel to the beach is very uncomfortable and dirty in a run down neighbourhood, locals burning garbage on the street and urinating there. Staff were friendly and great. You couldn't enjoy the beach since you had to walk by that neighbourhood.

Hello! We are deeply sorry that you were not able to enjoy your one-night stay at the hotel. We truly did our best so we could give you the best attention expected from the whole staff. The tiny room which you mentioned has actually the standard size of any hotel room, 24 square meters. We would like to clarify that your receipt was for 37 USD not for 50 USD as you stated. We checked and you did in fact order 6 bottles of soda (350 ml each, again the standard size) and two piña colada promos at happy hour, that means a total of 4 piña coladas and 6 sodas adds up to 37 USD. Sadly we are not able to control what lies outside the hotel. We would like to offer our apologies since we were not able to captivate you with Samara Beach due to the road that you have to go through in order to get there. We are working hard so we can one day have a proper road that leads to the beach one day but right now it isn’t possible. Again it's out of our hands, but we still try our best to offer a pleasant stay at the hotel. We will improve in what we can. If you ever change your mind it would be a pleasure to have you back.

Lots of nature
Wonderful place to stay. Just be aware there are neighborhood roosters that are very vocal all day and very early in the morning. Ear plugs are the way to stay at this place. Staff is very friendly and the room was very comfortable and large. A short walk down an alley to the beach. Enjoyed my stay and would go back.

Hotel quiet relaxing .staff nice .Now for the bad ,beds are horrible no box spring mattress on slats of wood thought they were going to brake and land us on the floor, pillows we're from the 50's, lots of ants and spiders in the room all over the room .must of killed 20 to 40 a night lots of bites ! Brocken window . Needs bad , New beds and linens and pest conrol we travel lots worst beds ever .

We are very sorry that your stay was not what you were expecting. Due to the troubles you were having with your vehicle we are very sad that you could only stay one night at the hotel, even after all the help we gave you by starting your engine with our car battery before you left.This is actually the first time we have ever received a complaint about our wood bed drawers. They are designed in way that guarantees freshness and a positive stimulus to anyone who sleeps on them. If you were that displeased with them we would’ve loved that you told us so we could help you by changing it with a different bed drawer so you slept better. As for the pillows, it’s imposible that they are from the 50s since we didn’t exist at that time. If you told us you disliked them we would’ve gladly changed them but sadly you kept it to yourself. Regarding the bug problem. It would have been a pleasure to give you any bug spray that we offer for free at the reception. Even if there were so many bugs we would have gladly moved you to a room and fumigated the room where you stayed so it wouldn’t happen to another client, but once again you kept it to yourself. The hotel is surrounded a beautiful habitat that harbors many animals including the insects you mentioned. It is complicated to deal with them, but it’s not imposible if you allowed us to try. It’s a shame that we couldn’t help you with the bug trouble.As for the window you mentioned, the broken part of it is but a simple scratch that is already scheduled for repairs. So we actually thank you for pointing this issue in your comments so we can speed up this particular repair. We are more than thankful that you chose to stay at the hotel and we will try our best to improve with the issues you mentioned so other guests may have a better experience. We hope that you have a joyful trip in our country and please if you wish to check with us in the future you will be more than welcomed to do so.

We enjoyed the hotel, and that it’s family run. Attentive staff very friendly and helpful. A little sketchy getting in and out off the main road because of the low riding Toyota Yaris we rented and had to be careful driving up to the paved road to town. Beautiful grounds lots of flowers and landscapes room was pretty good size and breakfast was always tasty with great coffee. Nearby beach was quiet and sandy. Great location

Se encuentra en un lugar inapropiado para un hotel, se debe tener esto en cuenta antes de adquirir una habitación allí. La piscina pequeña y el desayuno bueno, pero si se quiere desayunar bien se debe pagar un adicional. Yo comprendo que es un hotel en construcción, en el sentido de que es una empresa y que da trabajo, eso lo respeto y lo aplaudo, pero en general el hotel es deficiente.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Sol Samara. After a bit of difficulty finding the hotel, we were checked in quickly, the room was fine, very comfortable beds, good a/c. We enjoyed the little pool. Breakfast was delicious as were the other meals we ate at the hotel. The staff were all super polite & friendly. We met interesting guests from several countries at the hotel.

The grounds/garden area are beautiful and well kept. It is a small hotel with maybe 20 rooms. Family owned and operated. The young lady (Natalia) at the front desk speaks fluent English and is very helpful in every way especially if you are not fluent in Spanish. The Internet in all of Costa Rica is not good (understatement). Very close to the beach but you have to walk past some old shanties to get there. The beach here is beautiful, water is warm and swimmable. A bit out of town so it is better if you have a car to get here and around the area.

Superfreundliche Staff im Moment, toller Koch (Italiener mit passion beim Kochen; serviert frischen Basilikum auf seiner excellenten Pizza) und der schönste Sonnenuntergang am Meer! Ich bin seit zwei Wochen in CR unterwegs und kann vergleichen: in Tamarindo im stylischen Hotel Casa Leona (Staff kümmert sich nicht wirklich um Gäste, ist nicht anwesend) und sitze jetzt im Bellavista Suites by Villas Verdes direkt in Samara... aber im Hotel Sol fühlte ich mich so was von aufgehoben, willkommen und wohl. Ja, der Pool ist klein und die Liegestühle in die Jahre gekommen... aber die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und die Terrasse vor dem Zimmer ist Gold wert: ich habe hier jeden morgen bei Sonnenaufgang Yoga gemacht und bin danach vor dem Frühstück noch am Strand entlang gelaufen. Der Sonnenuntergang am Strand ist etwas vom besten was ich in den 2 Wochen bisher gesehen habe. Jetzt mitten in Samara geht Sonne hinter Hügel unter, vor dem Hotel Sol direkt im Meer! Ich war aber mit Auto hier, was praktisch ist, weil etwas abgelegen. Taxis sollen aber auch gut funktionieren...

The property is old and run down! There are decaying boards in the walkway that are in need of replacement. The pool looks ok at first glance but when you look closer it’s just like the walkway. The room was clean but very old. The new tile floors and shower help distract from that fact at first. But the beds were mattresses only on 40 year old frames and are not very comfortable. The curtains would not close because they were torn at the top and needed replaced. There were a couple things that are pleasant. It was quiet. Probably because we were the only ones there. The food was amazing! I don’t know where they found their cook but he belongs in a much better restaurant The main thing that disappointed us the most is the misleading rating that was on Expedias sight. 4.3 for cleanliness was in the headlines instead of the hotels overall rating.

I was stunned because I expected less for the price. The rooms have enough space, perfectly design for a couple, they are clean, staffs are friendly and attentive. Also good food. Hotel is 2 miles away from Carrillo Beach (one of the most beautiful in the region). I will definitely visit again.
