This four-bedroom/two- and one-half-bath home has everything you need to settle in, slow down, and connect to that elusive gentler pace. There’s no need to part from your four-legged family members ... two dogs are welcome to join you on your family retreat. They’ll love sunning themselves alongside you on the oceanfront pool patio that showcases a new private swimming pool, picnic table, charcoal grill, outdoor shower, and a 6-person hot tub ready to deliver a soothing respite. Nothing but a natural sand dune separates you from the ocean when you’re ready to build sandcastles and play in the waves. All of the home’s bedrooms are located on the first level and include a master king with an ensuite bathroom and oceanfront deck access, two queens, and a room with two bunk beds. All of the bedrooms feature new mattresses and TVs. There is also a full hallway bath and a laundry room on this level. The level above it reveals a warm and welcoming great room, with a half-bath, cathedral ceilings, and a wall of window sliders offering multiple access points to the oceanfront deck. Settle into the comfy sectional to catch a show on the Smart TV or perhaps let the more natural one outside grab your attention instead. Enjoy the gleaming white kitchen thoughtfully stocked with everything you need to prep meals that can be served at the five-stool breakfast counter or eight-seat dining table. Another four-seat table is available for meals but is also perfect for starting a puzzle or accommodating a card game. Looking for a little more active competition? The upstairs ship’s watch offers a game room with a foosball table and electric dart board. Séjour de 7 nuits en mai 2025 ### 2/10 – Terrible #### L S. 15 mai 2025 Points faibles : Propreté #### Great location, dirty and outdated, bug-infested home with lacking basic rental home amenities Salvo itself is stunning, but the Lazy Whale’s poor upkeep, broken amenities, and lackluster service turned our long-anticipated getaway into a series of frustrations and extra expenses. We cannot recommend this rental for families seeking a worry-free, clean, or relaxing beach vacation.Pulling up, the cottage’s coastal feel and dune backdrop looked exactly like the photos. But inside, reality quickly unraveled. So unkept. Surfaces were sticky, floors were dirty, and cupboards grimy. I spent our first two hours driving to Dollar General for cleaning supplies and scrubbing rather than relaxing. Just what you want to do on vacation, right?We’d prepaid 600 to heat the pool, to find it bone-chilling cold. The manager assured us it was warming up, but even days later, it remained frigid. Meanwhile, the kitchen’s filthiness and missing basics and others poorly kept, forced us to rely on paper plates and costly takeout, blowing our meal budget.The game room contributed to fizzling our fun; a dartboard without darts & a foosball table without balls. After requesting, some foosballs dropped, but no darts. Then it got nasty. Just 36 hours in, we discovered a bug infestation; pest control confirmed months of cleaning neglect in the kitchen cupboards. We spent vacation time cleaning up bugs each day. On day five, we learned from the pool provider that the pool heater had never been activated and the jet filters failed from irregular maintenance. No refunds or remedies. Don't book. ##### L S.
