Westover Bed and Breakfasts

Our 3 acre property is only a 20min. walk from Ganges. We nestled this clean and quaint cabin in its own cedar grove, separate from the main house.
Your cabin for two has beautiful natural lighting with pine ceiling, cork floor and a high bed overstuffed with feathers and crisp white linens. Cedar boardwalks to the sweetest no-flush toilet in its own building. Outdoor claw foot tub and wash basin.

Since COVID I have stopped delivering hot breakfast. I do however, leave my organic granola, muffins, fruit, yogurt and local coffee for you to enjoy in the mornings. Based on people's varied diets, I leave what I think should last for a two day stay. If you feel that you'd like more breakfast items to supplement for day two, please let me know.

The cabin is absolutely adorable and super convenient; just a 5-minute trip from the ferry terminal. The host was lovely and really helpful, and the space itself felt warm and cozy, with a space heater & a wood stove. Tara also left out books and colouring supplies, which was such a nice touch. Breakfast (homemade muffins, yogurt, granola, etc.) was delicious. We also loved that our puppy could come along with us!

Had a lovely stay here for our anniversary! Our host Tara was so kind and gave us plenty of privacy, I really felt like we had a private oasis to ourselves. Everything was clean and so thoughtfully decorated and supplied. The breakfast was a great plus too!!

I had a wonderful stay! Tara was such a lovely, accommodating, and helpful host from start to finish. The property was perfect for my needs; tucked away in nature and a short drive to some beautiful hiking trails. The outside bathtub was an absolute treat and the highlight of my evenings. Plus, the delicious breakfast each morning was the perfect way to start the day. I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking to escape to nature and find some true tranquility!

Our whimsical stay at this little cabin in the woods was just what we needed after a busy summer. Each morning we were greeted by the frogs and the lush scents of the forest. On our second night we were lulled to sleep by the pitter patter of the raindrops. Overall a peaceful getaway.

Wonderful forest retreat

This was exactly what we needed after a week of camping on our road trip - this place is so lovely, from the cabin itself (inside and out), to the big trees surrounding it, the pathway through the forest, the delicious breakfast and coffee, and of course the most relaxing bath/shower outside. Tara was so welcoming and was helpful highlighting spots around the island. Would highly recommend and we hope to visit again soon!

Magical, whimsical, total perfection. Tara and Martin have done such an amazing job of this oasis. Every detail is so thoughtful, the only issue was on our end by not booking another night or two here. It was so nice to come from three nights camping to a place so cozy. We loved the quiet and simplicity of this little forest retreat. Every day started with a shower on the deck to the sound of birds, and ended with frogs singing at night. The cabin is thoughtfully appointed with so many cozy details. It really felt like coming home at the end of every day.

Absolutely magical stay and host!

This is a perfect stay for someone who is looking to just get away from it all. I went alone for some downtime but I can easily see this being a lovely romantic getaway, too! Hear the birdsong and enjoy a book in the private bath under the leafy trees, or enjoy a takeout charcuterie and color with Tara's great coloring supplies in the cabin. I ADORED the gas-stove that always kept the place cozy, and the mattress is divine, waking up into a picture window of beautiful green. Tara herself is an absolute gem, helping plan easy little walks to the trees (Churchill Trail is easily walkable and a peaceful place to sit in the forest (pictured)) and jaunts into town. She's a wealth of local info and an absolutely lovely person. And practically, the place has everything you need to stay comfy - great coffee included for the French press and cream in the mini fridge, DELICIOUS granola and fresh yogurt and fruit. Treat yourself, stay here! Thank you for such an amazing visit, Tara!! I hope to be back one day!!

A perfect stay

We absolutely loved Tara's cabin in the forest! It was incredibly relaxing and the outdoor tub was such a nice touch. We had such a peaceful time and absolutely loved everything. Tara was super friendly and helpful and gave us great local recommendations. I highly recommend!!

Quiet location is the plus, yet hard to drive to and find. No Kleenex, no extra toilet paper, one breakfast for two night stay (one yogurt each and granola) coffee No indoor plumbing, outhouse only, wifi doesn’t work. Unit had one electrical plug in. Gas fireplace had nowhere to light (pilot only). This stay was a disappointing experience. 😔

Sweet Little Getaway in the Woods

This is a special place, we thoroughly enjoyed our time in this unique private getaway. Loved being surrounded in trees, peaceful and beautiful. We had the most amazing stay at the Westover! Rejuvenating and relaxing stay, best sleep I’ve had in a long time! Amazing outdoor shower/tub and the most amazing homemade granola from Tara who was the most incredible host! We cannot say enough good things about our stay, we’d go back in a heartbeat!💓

stayed at the west over BnB for 2 nights an it was great, close enough to town but you feel so private and remote tucked away with the trees. Martin was so kind and welcoming, offering great suggestions for the activities I wanted to do; breakfast was delicious and the outdoor tub under the full moon was magic.
