Stunning one bedroom condo with private deck overlooking the trout-filled Arkansas River, and is just a few blocks from historic downtown Salida and its many restaurants, shops, art galleries, parks, and outdoor riverfront amphitheater. Recently built, this 1,300 sq. ft. condo has a firm king bed, a gourmet kitchen, and 2 decks, complete with tables and chairs. Leave your car in the one-car garage and walk or bike anywhere you want to go in town. 18 miles from Monarch Ski Area Your host is a local and will either be available throughout your stay, or will designate one of her highly qualified local assistants to be your point of contact. Want to stay in and cook? You’ll enjoy the well-equipped kitchen and dining in the spacious living area or out on the deck over the river. Or order curbside pick-up or delivery from one of Salida's many nearby restaurants. The deck has morning sunshine and afternoon shade--so it's pretty much perfect all summer long! The area is known as the Heart of the Rockies, and it will beckon you to its mountains, streams, and breathtaking scenery - or you can just relax and enjoy the scenery from the comfort of your deck. There are hundreds of hiking and mountain biking trails located right in and around Salida, and lots more - including the Continental Divide Trail and the Colorado Trail - within a short drive. It is well stocked with everything you need and plenty of space to spread out. The place is immaculately clean and well kept up. Bed was comfortable and there were plenty of places to sit: couch, reading chairs, recliner, etc. Fast internet connection as my husband and I were working remotely. Communication was responsive and clear. Access was super easy. The condo has a beautiful view of the river, is close to downtown historic Salida (.4 miles), grocery store and hiking trails, and only 30 minutes from Monarch Ski area. Our place was spacoius with lots of big windows and light. We enjoyed being right on the river and spent time on the balcony overlooking the river. For a few days there was a family of mountain sheep across the river in the hills that we watched through binoculars. The kitchen was stocked with lots of everything we needed and the bed was super comfy. We would definitely stay here again. ##### Karen H. Then, when you return to your lodging, being able to sit on the balcony next to the Arkansas River! This condo was perfect for our visit to Salida. Great furnishings and a terrific view to boot. This place is so nice you don’t feel guilty hanging out in it! The only word of caution to prospective renters is you have to bring your belongings up 17 steps. For us, this was no problem at all, but I can imagine there may be some who would struggle with this. As for us, next time we’re in Salida, if this place is available, we know where we will be staying! ##### Douglas M. The unit is beautiful, well-maintained and supplied with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The balcony overlooking the river is wonderful - beautiful view and relaxing sounds of the water below.
