Welcome to the charming, historic Ice House! Located smack dab in the middle of Salida's bustling downtown. Be prepared for a true Urban Experience! Recently renovated- this home is a great jumping off point for all things Salida. Go Mountain Biking, Hiking, Rafting, Tubing, Shopping right out the front door.

Please note- this home is located in an alley in downtown Salida. There are working restaurants and bars in the area- be prepared for a downtown urban experience!

All Pinon homes are "vacation ready" with a fully appointed kitchen, towels and linens. Hand, dish and shower soaps are provided, as well as toilet paper, trash bags, paper towels, salt and pepper, coffee filters and laundry soap.

Pinon Vacation Rentals provides guest support from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 pm.

All guests are responsible for reading Welcome Book “Check-In and Check-Out instructions.

~Acceptance of the terms of the Rental Agreement and all Rental Policies is ASSUMED at the time of reservation. 24 to 48 hours before arrival, check-in instructions will be sent to guest.

**This home is rented for personal vacation use only. Any other use including large gatherings or parties is not allowed. Renters must abide by all rental terms and policies, as well as all local applicable property covenants, restrictions, regulations and laws. Any evidence of smoking, use of firearms, driving ATV's other than in the driveway as access only, unapproved pets, unauthorized use of property grounds, damage resulting from violation of rental policies, and/or excessive mess may result in charges up to $3000.00 to the Guest's credit card on file, as authorized by Guest's approval of the terms of the Rental Agreement.

Reservations may be canceled more than 30 days prior to check-in with full refund. 14 to 29 days prior to arrival 50% refund. No refunds will be issued after this cut-off date for any reason. No refunds will be issued due to weather conditions, spotty internet service or interruption of service.

Weekend in Salida
We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely come back. It’s the perfect location in the heart of Salida. Walkable to lots of shops, restaurants, coffee etc. neighboring areas of BV and Leadville were fun to explore as well. Easy access to tons of hikes in the area. Kitchen has everything you need, and everything was very clean.

Awesome Historic Downtown Salida Stay
The property itself is in a perfect location in historic downtown Salida. Lots of restaurants, bars, shops, and the Arkansas River all right out the front door. With this comes a little noise at night and early morning, but it didn’t bother us. The only other thing is to make sure you read about the parking. There is no parking at the ice house, but their is nearby public parking that the host helps map out. We had an awesome time and loved the Ice House!

Comfy and convenient
Overall, we really enjoyed the place and would come again. It's well stocked with attention to decor and comfort. I loved the historical touch of the 'truth window'. A couple of callouts: first, to get to the upstairs bed, you use a pull down attic ladder. I greatly dislike ladders so we used the murphy bed instead. It was incredibly comfortable (firm, memory form) with a selection of pillows from soft to firm. Second, this house is literally in the alley between two restaurants. This will generate bar close noise as the alley is a moderately trafficked pedestrian pass through and has garbage smells during certain times of the day. (note: several dumpsters on each side of the house). This wasn't a problem for us as we used the A/C vs open windows. The yard was designed to ensure optimal privacy and we enjoyed breakfast outside before the summer heat. I loved the convenience of the location and would stay again.

Downtown Comfort
What an awesome place to spend New Years Eve! Beautifully restored with modern comforts yet historic charm. Location is awesome for food and shopping. No on-site parking, but street parking was easy to find close by. The loft stairs are very steep (especially after a day of skiing) but our son enjoyed the space to himself. The Murphy bed offered a comfortable mattress and left plenty of living space even when left down for our entire stay. Our first visit to Salida was perfect! We skied powder at Monarch, dipped at the Hot Springs, and rang in the New Year with a A+ rental.

Location, Location, Location
If you want to be in downtown Salida, this is the place for you! Walk to everything. It is small but charming. My husband and I stayed here with our adult son and girlfriend. They slept in the loft thank goodness because we did not feel safe on the pull down stairs. The only reason we did not rate it a perfect 5 is the listing didn't mention the parking. There is none! You drive down the alley to unload which is fine.. but then you have to drive a few blocks to park in a public lot,, which is fine,but you can't park there overnight so you then have to move your car after a certain time to the street but you have to move it again by 11am. We did, for the 3 days we stayed there but not sure we would have rented if we had known about the parking before we booked.
