The home is clean, cute, and has absolutely everything you could need. It's obvious the owners care for the place and stay here themselves. They were also quick to respond with any questions I had. The location is perfect with shopping and restaurants within easy walking distance and a great Farmer's Market on Saturdays in the park across the street. The house offered plenty of historic charm as well as creature comforts. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen fully functional. The yard provided a great place for our toddler and dog to run around, and hosted local deer as well. The best part of the house for us, however, was the location. It sits right on the edge of a park with a nice playground, and just four or five blocks walk from Salida’s shops, restaurants and the river. Despite it's overall small size, it felt incredibly spacious and filled with light. We loved the vintage charm. This home is very comfortable and feels like a true home rather than a sparse vacation rental (which many can be). It has anything you could need for cooking as well as doing laundry, which we really appreciated. It was a great place to stay with our young pup, as well. The yard was perfect for her to run around in and a lovely space on it's own. The home was walkable to everything in downtown Salida which we definitely took advantage of.
