The cabin was very easy to find and just close enough to town, but not all the way in town. We really enjoyed the cool nights and seeing the stars from the hot tub. Loved the dvd collection and we watched some classics. We have a 4x4 vehicle so we were able to easily get to St. Elmo then do tin cup pass and Cumberland pass before getting back to the cabin in a day. We also did a day trip to Leadville to ride the train and explore the town. We did do just some chill time at the cabin with the family and we mostly stayed outside by the creek, my girls made tiny forts for their toys along the creekside. There is a lovely area that’s all cleared out by the creek with a bench with the best seen view of creek and a picnic table for meals. Unfortunately we just didn’t have time to do a fire but there was a very nice designated fire pit area. This cabin is very clean, plenty of linens, and more than enough in the kitchen. This cabin was very thoughtfully stocked and cared for and it shows. After reading the reviews, my wife and I booked 2 nights with our small dog over the 4th of July weekend 2025\. Everything was great and the price was very reasonable. The king bed is comfortable. The living space was cozy. The creek is a nice addition. We sat on the front porch a lot and saw deer on the property both days. Although the property is private, there is some noise from the main road on the other side of the creek but it didn’t really bother us. I have no complaints.
