This house has the best deck with the most beautiful views of Mount Shavano! OHVs must be trailered in and out. It is illegal to ride OHVs on Colorado County Roads in this area. Neighbors will report this to the Sheriff. This property is conveniently located to Monarch Pass, Salida, Buena Vista and Gunnison. For summer, it was easily accessible to hiking, river activities and so much more. Most mornings and evenings, there were elk grazing just beyond the fenced yard. Nice home base for a family or couples. We utilized the kitchen for several meals and it is well equipped for the majority of your cooking needs. The master bed was very comfortable with nice linens. The hosts provide a great deal of information to make the stay more enjoyable. We agree with other posts regarding the main living area being very warm during our stay. With no AC, or ceiling fans, we found it extremely warm on the second floor. During our stay, the day time temps did get into the upper 80s, and we did not have mountain breezes to cool down the living room/kitchen until well after the sun went down. It was very comfortable in the bedrooms at night, as long as the windows were open. Otherwise, the home did get stuffy during the day. A ceiling fan would go a long way in moving the air and making the upstairs living area a little more comfortable. Despite the warm family area, we had a very enjoyable stay and would consider returning with our extended family due to its proximity to so many activities and places. ##### Fela M. This home was clean, cozy and had everything we needed. We came for a ski weekend, and this home is in the perfect location for an easy drive to Monarch and to town.
