Wish they told us before we got there…

I understand pipes freeze in cold weather but I wish they told us the day before that the water wasn’t working not when we were on our way to check-in. Telling us before hand could of helped us find another place instead of offering a refund first and left us without a place to stay somewhere I am not from. I am very thankful that they let us stay in other place of the property while that problem got fixed. However, I would of liked to just stayed in that property till our stay was over Especially since we had a lot of luggage. Host told us to move since he had another reservation but made us more to the original place when the pipes got “fixed”. The water was not flowing properly, their would be long pauses of no water while we showered and the water didn’t smell good.

Fantastic stay!

Everything was as described, very clean and the location was perfect for our stay. There was an issue with the water pressure/lack there of and it repaired and working great by the end of the day! Would most definitely stay there again and will be recommending it to our family that will be traveling there in a few months.

Amazing Alaskan Adventure!

First.let me get the bad out of the way. The water, especially in the shower stops randomly but give it a few second and it comes back. Disorienting at first but you get used to it.Remember it’s well water brought in by pump. When it’s 30 below it will need some patience!.That’s it for negatives. Just know that it’s out of town — which is why it’s quiet and peaceful and you really can see the Aurora Borealis!We arrived during a massive snowstorm. As soo. As it stopped, they came to plow the driveway and shovel the porch, much appreciated!The chalet itself is very cozy and comfortable. There is parking right by the porch. The cleaned I g requirements were minimal -wipe up your messes and start the dishwasher take out the trash. That’s a welcome change from most places that require guests to strip beds and so laundry.I’m sure there are posher rentals, but they come with posher prices. This place was fantastic, well-appointed and an absolute delight! Don’t pass this by. It’s a wonderful home base to enjoy Fairbanks area and even to just sit back in and drink some hot cocoa and relax!
