« A little dissapointed with the overal state of the decor very tired looking, carpets old and worn paint flaking off in places. Our shower was not working. Though after talking to reception it was fixed. Cleaning of the room and bed making was not good. Breakfast was v,good though service a little infomal! Being addressed as 'mate' and 'hi guys' we found a little 'incorrect'.Also thought street clothing not uniforms spoilt the image of the hotel I wish the above to be considered as helpful...

« There was no clear indication of how we accessed the property. Despite trying to communicate with the owner, there was no response. We had to just turn up and hope for the best. « I love these type of B&B’s. This B&B is steeped in history built in the 18th century, On the land owned by the Spencer family, Vincent Van Gogh also lived on the square, so this is not a modern hotel if that’s what you’re looking for, it has steep stairs and smallish rooms, but is full of character, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the hospitality was fantastic and the breakfast was delicious, the pub on the corner is very friendly and only a short walk to the beach. »
