The home has been "baby-proofed" with outlet covers, a baby bath, baby gates, a high chair, a pack 'n play and even a full-sized private playground right in the backyard. The home is a part of a duplex with another unit upstairs. Both units have their private entrances and do not share any common spaces. No parking permit will be provided but rest assured, parking enforcement is nearly nonexistent in our quiet neighborhood. Feel free to park anywhere on the street. Additionally, be aware of street cleaning on Mondays and Tuesdays. Street cleaning signs apply to everyone. The home-side of the street has street cleaning on Monday mornings from 10 AM to 12 PM and the opposite side of the street has street cleaning on Tuesday mornings from 10 AM to 12 PM. Guest Access: Digital door locks are programed with unique access codes for every guest. Last-minute and same-day bookings are welcome as check-in instructions will automatically be sent at booking confirmation. The Neighborhood: The home is located just north of the hustle and bustle of downtown in the Mansion Flats neighborhood. This means you'll still be central to all the city's attractions without having to worry about the traffic noise, homeless population, and business of the city. You'll be within walking distance to multiple coffee shops, bars, restaurants and other downtown attractions. Pros: - Good amount of space- Nice Shower/Tub- Backyard Playground- Memory foam mattresses are actually reasonably comfy for side-sleepers. - Check out procedure more like a hotel than a typical vacation rental \[i.e. "lock the door when you leave"\]Cons:- Less windows than you think - front bedroom has lots, and every other room has a small one. - Upstairs tenants were doing elephant impressions until about midnight. Other Notes:- This unit was very cold when we arrived (55F), was supplied with 4 space heaters, which heated the space to about 75 in about 8 hours - once up to temperature, unit was very comfortable. Normally, California weather isn't this cold, so I'd expect this to be a non-factor most of the time. Verdict: This place would be ideal if it there was better weather and no upstairs tenants. This house is very very average and is way oversold in the listing. You can really really hear the people upstairs so be prepared for that. The neighborhood doesn’t seem great but it’s not terrible. Wouldn’t want to walk around after dark. For the most part were happy with the cleanliness. The kitchen didn’t have many pots/pans and the ones it did have seemed kind of grimy. It was cool they had a popcorn machine and keurig but the popcorn was stale and the k-cups were all really random gross sounding flavors. ##### Danielle B.
