The views are simply stunning. I had requested a high floor, if possible, and we were given 8th floor & the view of surrounding mountains & township was spectacular. The room was very comfortable with usual hotel amenities... kettle, tea, coffee, bottles of water, soaps, shampoo, comb, toothbrush & toothpaste. Could have done with some washers & hand towels though. We only had towels & bath mat. Breakfast was good, with nice clean surrounds. Probably could have had more food options. Hotel had emailed me beforehand re information on trekking tours. We did the 6 hour,12km trek which hotel arranged. Very happy we did this. We are a couple up in their 60's, but thankfully kept up with the other 4 youngies. Our guide was also very good, explaining how all different local groups go about daily life. Beautiful scenery of mountains, valleys & rice terraces. Lunch included. Sapa township is very quaint, quite European in appearance. Plenty of taxis, Grab as well & local bus which goes back & forth every half hour from Lao Chai, where train station is (little over an hour on local bus on return trip). I was very surprised as this hotel has very good ratings. I was given a standard room with a city view although I booked a deluxe Mountain View panorama view. The room was incredibly dusty and dirty. When I flushed the toilet the floor filled with water. Finally, when unpacking I found 3 cockroaches climbing over my belongings. I left to check into Amazing Sapa Hotel. Staff were so lovely, friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. Massage was great after a day of trekking in the mountains. Breakfast was plentiful, with great variety, we also had lunch and dinner at the hotel - enjoying the views of the mountains. I have booked a superior with mountain view but ended up a room without view. According to the hotel receptionist, only deluxe room has mountain view. This website is misleading the customers with incorrect information. Do take note that you need to walk up a flight of stairs as no car / taxi is allowed to drive up to the lobby.
