They claimed the bedding is same but room layout is so different. They allowed us to cancel but it was so last minute where do we find a replacement so suddenly. The sudden change in hotel is not our fault and we have to bear the inconvenience yet they only offer a substandard room replacement. Multi-lingual hotel manager and all the staff were outstanding in their friendliness, helpfulness, breakfast service… everyone at this hotel made a big effort to make me feel comfortable and welcome. The breakfast was delicious, with many options and served in a beautiful dining room. My room was comfortable with nice pillows, sheets and comfortable bed. Nice bathroom with lots of hot water. I have stayed here before hence I rebooked. But the weather was cold and misty throughout and in fact no view at all! A large hotel is being built just in front of the Elegance which sabotages its advantages. Indeed, post-Covid, Sapa as a whole is pretty depressed not the fun it used to be. But staff helpful and friendly as before.
