The property includes a private sandy beach and offers easy access to hiking, swimming, fishing, boating, four-wheeling, snowmobiling, etc. Note that this is a family-owned cabin that does NOT include modern amenities. This is the perfect escape for those seeking a frills-free, non-luxurious, yet rustic experience. Pets allowed for additional fee. The cabin is located on Boyd Pond, which is a very remote lake in upstate NY near the Adirondack Mountains. The cabin is heated and also has a wood stove. Chopped wood will be provided if guests choose to use the wood stove during the fall and winter months. We ask that the indoor wood stove not being used during summer. This cabin was incredibly welcoming and CLEAN! We did not bring our pets with us but it was so wonderful to see how pet-friendly the rental was...food/water dishes, poo bags, leashes, etc. The kitchen with stocked with everything we needed and more. Beds were comfortable and we stayed nice and warm throughout our snowy stay. Our host was gracious and responsive which is always a plus! The cabin is rustic but inexpensive so you are totally getting your money’s worth. Could use a few updates such as removing carpets. If you’re going to allow pets, make it easy to remove the previous tenants fur and accidents. And fix the leaning tower of Peesa (toilet). Otherwise it would have been a 10\. We loved seeing critters outside, like geese and loons on the water. We made breakfasts in the kitchen and spent a lot of time looking out over the water both from the table and sitting on the deck.
