The corridors, room and lift seemed like they were new. A good shower with plenty of hot water and good water pressure. Excellent location for the Skyline Gondola and zip wire etc - just walking distance. But need to drive into the centre of Rotorua. They gave us great local recommendations about what to do though 😉. And the finale was the breakfast! It looked like the family (that operate this hotel) was just recycling their dinner- crusty dumplings, plane fried rice, reheated spring rolls…. To be fair- there was fresh bacon, canned beans and weathered eggs. No coffee, instant one with “help yourself kettle”. $20/person if you book in advance, or $25 on the spot.
