But I can see why some people would find the stairs to the upstairs bedroom to be steep and that it can be noisy as there is a restaurant with a dinner table right outside and people chatting until late. The apartment is located in an older part of Rome with the narrow cobblestone streets. Very close to a few sites. We walked everywhere, most sites within 30-45 minutes. The property is in a great location, very close to the Pantheon. We did not have to use transit or taxis at all. Basheer was a great host. He also happens to own a tour company and is happy to help with airport or train station transfer and, of course, tours! The apartment is basically a studio with a loft. The stairs are steep but manageable. There is not actually a washer, which was a surprise for us. The snacks and coffee left for our use were a nice touch. The A/C and fan worked great. Our slight difficulty in communication was due to my need for wifi in order to send and recieve messages. Once we left the train we were without service. Thankfully, somehow we connected just outside the apartment to get our entry instructions. Did finaly find the parking but had some issues, owner came to help and give us a ride to the property. Told us afterward the pickup wuld cost 25 euros because it was a company car and payment would have to be cash. Everything else was fine, we did like the location, neighborhood seemed safe. ##### Sandy S.
