A vibrant area full of colors, flavors, and rich history. Every morning, the nearby Piazza Campo de’ Fiori comes alive with one of Rome’s most beautiful and unique fresh markets, where you can find the finest culinary delights the city has to offer. The neighborhood is also filled with gourmet restaurants, artisan shops, and numerous artists specializing in painting and sculpture. Its charm and character make it feel like a small village within the bustling city of Rome. The narrow streets and distinctive architecture make this district one of the most attractive in the city. Despite being within walking distance of the lively market, the street where the apartment is located—and the small square in front of it—remain peaceful and quiet, mainly pedestrian-only. The area is very safe, with a local police station just 100 meters away. The apartment is situated on the Italian first floor of a charming building without an elevator (equivalent to the second floor in the U.S., one floor above the ground level). There are exactly 12 steps from the ground floor to the apartment entrance. I will be happy to assist all guests with their luggage during check-in and check-out. The apartment’s windows face two sides of the building, providing abundant natural light from morning until late afternoon. The bedroom window overlooks the square in front, while the living room windows face the quiet street behind the building. Recently renovated, the interiors are spacious, thoughtfully furnished, and bright throughout the day. Every room is designed with attention to detail—from the parquet floors to the stylish furniture. The apartment also features an armored door, and for maximum quietness, all windows have double glazing. Each room is equipped with air conditioning and independent heating. The apartment’s internet has been recently upgraded to fiber optic with speeds up to 1 GB per second. The TV comes with Chromecast, Netflix, Prime Video, and international streaming channels. Upon entering, you’ll find a corridor leading to the living room, with the kitchen and dining area on the right, and the bedroom and bathroom on the left. The living room features a large, comfortable sofa that converts into a standard double bed with a 7-inch orthopedic mattress, a single sofa bed, a spacious dining table seating up to four guests, and a 55” OLED television. The kitchen is fully equipped with induction stovetops, oven, microwave, toaster, dishwasher, full-size refrigerator, freezer, kettle, and a Nespresso coffee machine (capsules included), as well as tea, pots, pans, and all the necessary utensils for cooking. The bedroom boasts a king-size bed with an orthopedic mattress and memory foam topper, plus a choice of memory foam or feather pillows. The bathroom is fully equipped with a shower, sink, hairdryer, makeup mirror, amenity kit, soap, and shampoo. The apartment offers ample storage space, including a wardrobe in the bedroom, a two-level wardrobe in the corridor, and a double wardrobe in the living room’s library area. The apartment will be rented fully cleaned and sanitized according to the highest hygiene standards, with all beds made (including the sofa bed), and all linens, pillows, and blankets provided. Each guest receives a full set of towels (large, medium, and small), with extra towels available in the bathroom. There is a washing machine in the bathroom, and a coin-operated laundry facility is just a 5-minute walk away. The washing machine does not have a dryer, but the apartment includes two drying racks: a heated rack in the bathroom (heated by the apartment’s heating system) and a larger foldable rack stored in the bedroom closet. Luigi, our host, was very helpful in arranging transportation from the train station and to our cruise port. The apartment was everything shown in the pictures and more with wall paintings by his wife. It was clean and spacious, which allowed us to catch up on laundry and ironing after two weeks of travel and prepare for a two-week cruise. We were able to sample four of the many restaurants that Luigi recommended which are all close to the apartment. Everything in the apartment description is accurate and may understate the comfortable level. We especially liked the fact that everything was so close, and we didn’t have to use a cab for restaurants and groceries. The one morning we didn’t fix breakfast, we walked 5 minutes to a four-star hotel and had a wonderful buffet breakfast for $15 each. Luigi lives off-site but was there to greet us upon arrival and readily available with a question we had about the stove. ##### Ed R. The apartment itself is wonderfully appointed with all the conveniences one could ask for, no matter how long the stay. It is open and airy, yet cozy and comfortable at the same time. The apartment is so well appointed, nothing is missing whether in the kitchen, the living area, the bathroom. It is furnished with style and taste. The bedroom was lovely, spacious with lots of closet space, and the sofa bed was just as comfortable as a regular double bed. We also used the washing machine and the dishwasher, and loved our Nespresso machine for our early coffee. We walked everywhere, from the Colosseum to the Borghese gardens to the Vatican. There are lots of cute restaurants in the area and the host’s recommendations for food were spot on. The host was incredibly kind, helping our driver when he got a little lost and then taking the time to show us the apartment and provide recommendations for places to see and where to eat. It was the perfect home base for exploring Rome for a few days, as it was conveniently located - we walked to many sights like Piazza Navona, the Pantheon and Trevi Fountain. The host Luigi met us in person for our check in and walked us through numerous recommendations for our visit. We tried a few restaurants on his list and they were wonderful. The apartment itself was clean, spacious, felt very modern with little touches of personal character, and had all the amenities we needed. Bonus points for a very comfortable bed and lovely scented shampoo and soap choices for the bathroom. He also provided us with a bottle of wine and water upon check in to welcome us and make our stay easier. This place was AMAZING! I'm so glad I found his apt for our trip to Rome to see the sights. We were able to walk to most of the sights we wanted to see. There is a huge market just about two blocks from the apt. Everything about his apt is fantastic. The air conditioning was great. The bed was so comfortable we just instantly fell asleep every night.The bathroom was clean. We had a whole house for the price of a hotel.
