Very secluded and quiet on 75 acres where you have free access to go for hikes. Very peaceful and quiet here. It snowed during our week and the owner was there to plow for us and at one point I was doing something wrong with the electronic deadbolt and the owner was there within five minutes to help me. Being in the hot tub on the chilly nights was so nice. I never considered staying somewhere in Kentucky. This location superseded my expectations. This is a great place to host my children and I while we were able to explore Red River Gorge. This house was so pleasant. My kids and I loved it. I absolutely loved the Jacuzzi. I will totally be recommending cabins and Kentucky. The temperatures were 90+ during the day, so we were very happy to find the AC was working very well once we arrived! I followed the link to the coordinates in Google Maps, and really should have just read the directions in the owner's email, which were clearer. You have the place all to yourself. I was worried a bit about the unsecured wifi, but there is nobody with view of the cabin, so it's pretty safe. Everything was extremely clean and the cabin was well stocked. We did find the fire alarms went off when I opened up the stove (we were just baking frozen fries), but other than that, the kitchen was great for making all our meals. There is no cell service (at least if you have AT&T) but (a) that's not necessarily a bad thing for a weekend off and (b) the wifi was very good--we streamed music the whole time and still were able to use the internet for looking up recipes, etc. I was able to make a streaming call to check in on my mom without any lag or issues. It is a little bit of a drive to the trailheads (\~25 min to Auxier Ridge, for example), but we didn't mind because it was so nice to stay in a house with everything we needed and which allowed us to cook several meals. The Beds are SUPER comfortable, the hot tub relaxing. I do wish there were some basic cooking essentials like oil or non-stick spray and tinfoil. We cleaned the grill really well because it looked like it wasn’t used in a long time but appreciated that there was charcoal for it!! ##### Sarah S.
