Welcome to Holiday Sun, a brand new oceanside home in Rodanthe with construction set to be completed in May! Offering 4 comfortable bedrooms and just a short walk (approximately 0.2 miles) to the beach, located at the end of the street, Holiday Sun is the perfect Hatteras Island vacation retreat for your family! Inside, 2 full baths and all 4 bedrooms can be found on the lower level, including 3 queen bedrooms and a bedroom with a full over full bunk. Upstairs on the top level, the living area, dining area, and kitchen can be found, as well as a convenient powder room. Rinse off the sand from long days at the beach in the convenient outdoor shower, before heading to the hot tub to relax. Enjoy world-class fishing at the Rodanthe Pier, just 0.6 miles away. Don't forget the family dog, as Holiday Sun is pet-friendly! There is an additional charge for guests bringing pets, which will be added and collected after booking. Pet fees range from $161-231 depending on the property, and will be assessed state and local taxes. For 2026, Holiday Sun will include credit for $245 in beach gear rentals from our partners at VayK Life. Stay between April 3rd and October 18th, 2026 (tentative dates, 7-night minimum), and use your beach gear credit for items such as bikes, beach chairs, umbrellas, paddleboards, and more! This location makes for a great getaway at the Outerbanks to spend an entire day (and night). The location is popular for fishing and is ideal for landscape and astro photography. You can have lots of fun on some of the dunes, although getting the sand out afterwards is a big hassle. This is one of my favorite images from this location. I love the warm light tones and the shadows that create a contrast in the foreground sand. It is created from a single exposure with only minor modifications made to adjust overall contrast and brightness. If you are interested in wildlife, the Pea Island Wildlife Refuge is nearby and is a very popular location.
